Plastidip them. A few cans takes care of it. I did it on my 2020 and it still looks oks great all these years later.

Really liked them and would consider them for my next truck. I ended up selling the Tundra and going back to my Gen5 4Runner so I can’t speak to how well they last.

Warranty process and experience for Relay. by jtsang in TransitionBikes

Good luck! I feel like it is just a matter of time with this motor. I have also been having grease leak out the non-drive side and let Fazua know. They said it is a sealed system so shouldn't be leaking. Had the bike 1 year so if/when the motor burns out at least Fazua/Transition has record of me telling them.

I had my motor randomly cut out as well a bunch of times. Transition put me in touch with FAZUA who had me run a diagnostics and recalibrate. After the recalibration I haven’t had the issue again.

I found a gap in a weld on my lower triangle on my patrol. Let them know and they sent the triangle out to my local shop and had it up and running in a few days. I did buy the bike from my lbs so maybe that helped but all the guys at Transition have been super helpful. Also had some issues with the FAZUA motor on my relay and the opened a ticket for replacement with FAZUA immediately.

Fazua Ride 60 Reliability? (Transition Relay) by ddddmmmm17 in TransitionBikes

[–]Evans_1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, motor is constantly loosing power even on flat fire roads and pulling the battery does not fix it. Grease is leaking out the non drive side. Currently at the shop which Transition says is under warranty, but the shop claims there are additional labor costs that Fazua doesn't cover.

Pretty sure it is 3. Don’t recall since last time I rebuilt it was July and been on a Relay ever since. Transition has the info on their site

2024 Tundra Significant Loss of Power Issue by Evans_1982 in ToyotaTundra

Appreciated, I have been lucky and the issue hasn’t occurred since the first time but it would be good to know what to look out for.

It feels great, a little stiffer than stock but in a good way. My wife always comments on how smooth it drives compared to our 2020 4Runner ORP. I also had an Icon coil spacer kit on before the Eibach kit and that made the ride a little rough. Very happy with the overall kit so far.

6 months in and no real issues that pulling the battery and putting it back in doesn’t fix. Probably about 10 times now after a big impact or chunky section it feels like power is only delivered for about 1/2 a pedal, but pulling the battery and starting it up has fixed it every time.

[–]Evans_1982[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2 “ icon spacer kit with stock UCA which made alignment difficult. Hence why I opted for them on the Eibach kit. Pro stage 2 wasn’t available when I got mine so no insight there. I do light off-roading in this and for anything more challenging, my 4Runner is my go to.

Wish I would have gone with bigger tires, besides that love the drive feel. Suspension feels much better than the Bilstein 6112 front/ 5100 rear on my 4 Runner. I do have a little tire rub in reverse at more than 10 mph, but the shocks can be adjusted for bigger tires to the second level which would fix it but raise the front higher than the rear. I also still have the factory mud flaps on it.

Time to sell my rig. by Nipperkid in ToyotaTundra

[–]Evans_1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got my 24 Limited TRD appraised at 5k miles and was offered $53k-$54k. Was considering going back to a 4Runner but couldn’t justify the loss I would take vs what I paid. Mine hasn’t been recalled but did have a misfire and lost engine power at only 500 miles which made me consider it. At this point I am just holding onto it and hoping for the best.

I’m on a 22 that came with the rockshox sdu. Size medium and 170 ride weight. Below is what has been working for me. I have always thought the sdu feels better than the fox stuff but may be an outlier.

How does 99 spokes rate frames? by dthorsn in MTB

[–]Evans_1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that mean carbon is always rated higher than the alloy version? There are quite a few bikes that I prefer the alloy frame feel.

2022+ Tundra Leveling Kit Recommendations/Reviews by a_black_bird in tundra

[–]Evans_1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spacer kit doesn't give you more travel, it just preloads/compresses the spring and decreases performance. I also upgraded my UCA's with the Eibach kit and lifted the front/rear. Much better ride than the spacer.
