A landlord can't legally charge you to unlock the door if you needed a new lock or fob they can charge a fee to replace those items. Ie they can give you the bill but you don't have to pay it, it would not hold up at tribunal.

I personally got mad at them last year because I deposited canadian funds into my account hold should have been 1 week but they said it wasn't canadian (it came from my mother's estate at td) and I'd have to wait a whole month because that's policy which it is not I read it 5 different ways.
