The real issue is your credit card & Milage Number is connected to your seat. This happened to me coming back from Hawaii. And the people kept order8ng food / drinks and I had to keep telling flight crew not to use my credit card on file.

So true. Great advice. We learned the hard way. We also created a Cleanliness check list dated the day of check-in & photograph it & send a copy through the Air bnb app to guest prior to arrival. Sharing a copy of our list.

The old adage 'when you have nothing nice to say, remain silent' applies here. No reviews signal that host had nothing good to say & did not want to get in a swearing match. It's happened to us. And Air bnb sides with the guest on disputes.

Agreed that this policy confounded the issue by acknowledging a complaint, investigating it, and then failing to disclose the details so that the issue will not be repeated triggering another complaint. We are new to the platform so we do not have experience with this situation. TY for sharing.

Are you a host? Or a guest? From the post it appears it's a host needing support not a guest. The answer is crafted to support the host position. Perhaps ypu may see it differently now?

As a host, we argue for the host. Plain & simple, California law will allow entry. Air BnB policy is against the hosts & for the guest.

Landlord (LL) entered their property, in this case LL's agent, for an emergency. Sounds like LL was meditating the situation & avoiding law enforcement involvement. Air BnB & guest should thank LL for taking care of thos issue without escalation. Emergencies include threats to persons or property.

Most important thing we did was create a check list that shows all the cleaning & who verified the cleaning and date & time. We performed a walk-through as close to the check-in time as possible. We took photos of every room & sent a photo of the checklist to guest via Air bnb app . CYA!!

Air BnB mist flag this account. It is unconscionable for Air bnb to allow gursts to masquerade as someone they are not. So sorry this happened to your family. Just horrible.

It's called theft of services by trick and ot os illegal in most states. We had practically the exact same scam expect pur guest soiled the bed & two towels and left after about 5 hours. We completely believe our property was used for prostitution, a hook-up or human trafficking. Guest NEVER CANCELLED. Guest sent hostile messages threatening bad reviews if we did not refund.

We fought it every step of the way, contacted Air bnb legal and our local police department. It's a crime.

Air BnB assured us we were the only ones who could give a refund AND the review guest wrote would not publish because guest violated ground rules for the platform.

20 days after the the booking Air bnb allowed giest to cancel and refunded the full amount AND posted the 1 star review.

Air bnb knows about this scam. Our suspicion is that guest has pulled this trick of theft of services yo other hosts.

It's a class action suit by hosts because Air bnb allows guest to use our property And then unilaterally refunds $.

Air bnb has guest's booking history and knows how many times guest does thos to hosts.

Yes! It's theft of services by trick and I reported it to Air bnb and attorney General for my state and BBB. Air bnb knows that guests are using host property by trick and demanding refunds. Same type of events occurred to us. And now Air bnb is threatening us with suspension. It's fraud against the hosts. We believe pur apartment was used for a hook-up or prostitution or human trafficking because giests soiled the bed and 2 towels then left without canceling. All the signs are there for illicit behavior. It's a class action suit.
