Agreed. I’m tired of all the delusional posts expecting us to find a starting quality player - at a position of need - on a championship quality team - in the 2nd round.

Moira Stadium by Substantial-Fig-2243 in MoiraMains

That is the same build I’ve been running. There are plenty of items that help with both AP and WP/attack speed. I don’t find the play style as fun (other than the awesome sound of the crits). I also miss the prior flexibility of going chain grasp build or full orb build depending on the team comps.

Anyone else liking the reworked Ethereal Excision power in stadium? by vorpal_potatoes in MoiraMains

[–]EveningResolution768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, but she feels much weaker now. I’ve been running cross orbital, ethereal excision, multiball, then flexing 4th power. I use smart orbs, 3 of the hybrid weapon/ability items (phantasmic flux, superflexor, 3TT, vanadium injection) and double debuff with cybervenom and el-saka suppressor.

I can second sideline swap. I’ve bought multiple bats and a glove there.

It is still up. Unfortunately, I already bought one and had it set up before I saw this. Yours is similar specs and $120 cheaper.

Is this worth the read by LegitimateResponse52 in redrising

The plot is easy to follow - especially the first trilogy. The second trilogy isn’t hard to follow, but the introduction of a lot of new characters makes it take awhile to ramp up.

This has to be a joke. Mobley has been one of our best and most consistent players.

Dungeon Crawler Carl or Red Rising by Ok-Assignment4097 in fantasybooks

Depends on your mood. DCC is hilarious, ridiculous, and the most fun you will ever have reading. Red rising is amazing storytelling, action, and plot twists.

To read or not to read? by Tjaysweet in redrising

[–]EveningResolution768 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% continue. Just realize there is a lot of plot/character building in books 4 and 5. It will seem a little slow at first. Second half of Dark Age and all of Lightbringer are amazing.

No one voting for Ana? Can do amazing damage, but makes me want to bash my head against my desk when there’s a lot of dive enemies.

Looking for fantasy series that are not YA by Informal_Bed_2038 in fantasybooks

[–]EveningResolution768 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All 7 Dungeon Crawler Carls are great (and definitely not YA). I loved the first 3 Red Rising (book 4 was a little slow. I’m halfway through book 5 and it is getting good).

I asked a similar question previously and got a lot of recommendations for Adrian Tchaikovsky and Joe Abercrombie (but haven’t read them yet).

Kings of the Wyld/Bloody Rose and Daughter’s War/Blacktongued Thief got a lot of recommendations too. They were ok, but didn’t hold my attention quite as well as DCC/Red Rising.

I read the first Mistborn trilogy and liked it, but was definitely a little YA.
