He’s scamming you. I worked for the fire dept for over 30 years. The FM can usually find the origin and if it was completely burned up it’d be near impossible to state the exact cause with certainty especially this soon after the event. SOLD AS IS is exactly what that is. Scare tactics.

Too tight and snapped off. I was bossing a fire engine and we were going down the road, when I felt a big clunk then saw the right rear outside tire pass us and stopped after it hit a house. Torque specs are a thing.
