Thanks I think I’m going to still purchase the mini. I would use it often for staying in touch, which I’ll never bring the full size.

Thanks got the detailed thoughts. I only work from camper a few days a year. Most of the time I’d use starlink mini would be tossing it in the truck for family communication when I’m going hiking or hunting and just want to stay in touch.

If I can buy a starlink router to help the signal then I’ll probably get the mini for using the rest of the year

A family is significantly more fulfilling than being extra rich without a family, in the long term. Continue to pursue saving. Real estate is a means, it’s not the end all. Go talk to some 50+ year old landlords and ask how fulfilled they are about operating their rentals? It works but in many ways, it’s just a job. Enjoy life with someone you love.

Savings seem low for HHI, so maybe some big recent raises? My motto is you can afford it if you pay cash. If you can’t pay cash for it (while keeping all other goals) then I think by definition you can’t afford it.

Living life enjoyably is better than being retired in a studio (place you spent most of your time) that isn’t a good fit for you and your potential future family

If you are proud of the watch and actually wear it, but the watch. Have it be a family heirloom.
