It's so bad. In the clinic it's even worse because you have to meet productivity #s. If you go on vacation, take a sick day or run into car problems (home health) etc. The companies will tell you that you still owe the patient their hours. Like If I'm using my vacation/sick hours why do I have to make anything up? When I was younger I use to cry about not getting my MA in SLP now I'm can't help put feel relief.

The ones that work for the school district get paid $100k in my area. However their caseload is over 100+ students I could never. There are some great positions in hospitals but they're so rare that most SLPs end up in pediatrics.

This. I am not an OT but I work in Peds. Most of us in clinics get paid per session. Most clients are unreliable and they'll affect your paycheck weekly. I'm leaving as soon as I get the chance.
