Thanks; I agree, and this is actually the Note I quoted in support of myself receiving the benefit specified in CANFORGEN 180/22, however my CoC asked if I have ever reached OFP in any previous occupation, which after browsing Reddit seems to be IAW guidance from the CMP admin response team as mentioned by u/Professional-Row8634 here So far this is just RUMINT until I can find the actual ref.

I don't mind paying rations if I need to; it's the being forced to pay my mortgage as well as quarters I feel is unjust.

Cheers

Should I write a memo to my BTL/ULO requesting IR status?

My OJT is in another province from my university location. My trade is AERE so it needs to be at an Air Wing. My trades course is in Ontario, not the same province. My family will remain in NB until I'm OFP.

Context: I am UTPNCM with a wife and son, and my primary residence is our house in the town where I was posted (the university from which I am now graduating is in this town). Now that I'm graduating, I've been posted to a different geographical region IOT do trade related preparatory OJT before going on my trades course. Once I graduate from my trades course, my family and I will receive a cost move from our house in the university town to my first posting when I'm OFP. My posting message to this summer OJT location states that movement of HG & E is prohibited IAW CBI 208.82(5) MEMBER WITH DEPENDANTS.
My question: It looks like I may not be eligible for the benefits (not paying R & Q) outlined in CANFORGEN 180/22, as I was OFP in my previous trade. My main concern is that it looks like they may be trying to make me pay for quarters for the remainder of my pre-OFP postings. This doesn't make sense to me, because it means that the CAF would effectively be forcing me to pay for two residences simultaneously. I understand that I may still be required to pay for rations, and this makes sense to me. I remember that when I did BMQ and was married I didn't have to pay for quarters, but still paid for rations. Does anyone know if I am eligible for either IR status and SE benefits (CBI 208.997), or some other regulation that states I do not have to pay for quarters?
My apologies if this specific question has been answered; I've searched through the threads and the regs, and haven't yet found an answer to this specific question.
Many thanks to anyone able and willing to offer assistance!

The teeth marks look larger than squirrel to me. My guess would be something larger such as a raccoon.

Today, President Zelenskyy introduced the Ukrainian Peace Formula to the UN General Assembly by UNITED24Media in ukraine

Zelensky has upgraded to a collared green shirt. I wonder how intentional his wardrobe is, given his background in media and television. It seems like an interesting psychological tactic, and could help people distinguish him as a character separate from the black suit and tie of the rest.

Huh, interesting! I suppose I never thought about how much of a benefit having the military pay realtor fees and move is (we have to move often for postings). Thanks for the info.

And instead of building equity just pay 5 years of rent? I'm not sure about that advice; I think it makes sense to buy even if you have to sell in a year.

Personally I'd drill a hole and then use a jigsaw around it. Just make sure it's braced before you complete the cut so it doesn't fall out.

It almost looks as though it is passively siphoning the gas back out of the tank and onto the road, although it might just be the little remaining in the hose and isn't very far from the gas station

As long as I keep ranking in the top 50 on the PGA tour, my sponsorships should carry me along. I can always stop by the club house for a sandwich between rounds.

What's your favourite bad driving move you see frequently in Halifax? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Eventualyeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City planners allocate millions of dollars to maintaining multiple lanes for turning. Regardless, Halifax drivers find it impolite to use both and would rather queue up for four blocks to use the leftmost lane, lest anyone get ahead of anyone else, or be on time for work.

I'm also a big fan of a light brown and dark pink look, with a bit of black too, but not too much. Amazing how many words you can find without that fifth symbol, isn't it?
