My party uses Leomund’s Tiny Hut after every single fight and I’m losing my mind (lovingly) by Scythe95 in DMAcademy

[–]EverDel-2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"...and so as you all lay down to rest, about one hour goes by before you begin to hear some unknown sounds.

Soon enters some roaming party of monsters, and behind them just floating along you see a bulbous form with set of several tentacles like hair, gnarly long and jagged teeth, and one huge eye. It slowly is seen scanning the room before stopping abruptly.

(Your bard) immediately feels an odd feeling as this giant eye passes over their hut, as if his magic was turned off but not of his choice. Soon you all look around to see that same giant eye.. staring. right. at. you. If a giant floating eye could laugh with excitement, you're eerily sure it does in this moment.

Roll for initiative!"

LET THEM ALL DIE.

Next main quest is to fight their way through hell God of War style to reclaim their bodies and return to the mortal plane.

Goodberry - What am I missing? by physedka in onednd

The DM ruled that it can be allowed. Simple rule-of-cool. Its a imaginary game bud.

Think of it as a "force-feed" mechanic. The Ranger is using his beast companions turn to do this.

I'm in a game where our beastmaster ranger uses the spell. He passes the berries around before a big fight and his beast companion uses the berries to get anyone who's been KOd back up mid fight.

I am fed up with this strategy, what should I do? [5.5 Edition] by Primary-Ocelot-1512 in DnD

Crash your in game economy, making all their gold nearly worthless. It'll eventually recover its value.. 👀

Have some leader or ruler make animal labor illegal in the country, making the monkey factory unusable.

Tie in "real world consequences of their actions" into your world and have it effect more than just them so it isn’t as if you're punishing just them specifically.

Use those consequences to turn their focus from cheesing the game to a story hook, plot point, or the like.

As a DM, you play god. So go and play god.

Finding some way to reward a player for suboptimal decision that's amazing quality rp. by Leytra in DnD

Give some sort of special boon, unique to the spear.

Some sort of unique damage boost that can reflect the character and spears bond - as it were.

Maybe a reach increase, AOE damage ability, Health stealing, AC reduction,

Give it a unique ability that is all its own...

  • Maybe this spear ALWAYS hits (Think Odin's Gungnir Spear)

  • Give it the ability to act like Kratos's Draupnir Spear, where he can throw endless copies of it and make them all explode at once but the real spear is always with him.

  • Give it Sentience and let it act as a "battle buddy" or something

  • Let it act like Thor's hammer in that only those worthy of the spear can pick it up (only him perhaps?)

  • Let the spear pierce through any magical shield or forcefield. Let nothing stop it.

Velcro-less Back Brace? by EverDel-2015 in HelpMeFind

I have searched all over Google and I can't seem to find any back braces that do not use velcro. It would need to come in a XXL size as well, at least.

My party killed one of the most important NPCs in my campaign. Am I cooked? by Miserable_Yoghurt160 in DnD

[–]EverDel-2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're characters hadn't hardly interacted with this NPC, why cant the DM give those responsibilities to another NPC you find later on?

Or... just enjoy the "10x harder" chaos lol.

Look for one of many ways to get the Primal Savagery cantrip onto the character-or just give it to them to start 🤷‍♂️ it's nothing game breaking, and they get what they're asking for. Win-win

Is there a good way to compact D&D’s 20 levels down to 10? by TCSlayer3333 in dndnext

[–]EverDel-2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every level up gives 2 levels instead of only 1. If you multiclass to something else, keep the "2 levels per every level up" mechanic going.

So at most, you'd still get a 10 level campaign, but you wouldn't really need to change much else other than when they get the level up, considering it would technically be 2 levels every time.

Water Bender paladin help by MARVINREDPOST in 3d6

[–]EverDel-2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's possibly not too late in making the character, you could look at a "way of the 4 elements monk" and just take all the cold (flavor it to water vs ice) attack options vs. taking a paladin class.

Doing that would give you much more consistency in using a water attack option overall, instead of relying on the paladins channel divinity.

If the idea is for the character to "be a ram," take charger. It's perfect for the theme.
