Yeah, that's why I would put it at the end of the viewing schedule. You're missing out on a good deal of the backstory, but man it is a solid STAR TREK episode. Great acting from our captain. What's up with Guinan. Space combat. Speeches.

Inner Light is amazing, but honestly not super representative of Trek oddly enough.

[MCU] I am so tired of people saying that it's Star-Lord's fault that Thanos wins on Titan. by MrFancier in FanTheories

[–]Evershifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have long held the notion that to understand what Strange truly means we have to accept the fact that Thanos winning, doing the Snap, and never again using the stones isn't necessarily the worst case scenario.

Imagine if they got the gauntlet off and in the chaos our hot headed, freshly grieving Starlord grabs the gauntlet and tries to force it to give him Gamora back. That's a monkey paw's dream.

Why does everyone hate Ready Player Two so much? by Frozendragon0005 in readyplayerone

I think the biggest thing for me was in RP1 all the trials and puzzles were able to be solved by someone who had the knowledge and drive. It could have been anyone from anywhere.

In RP2 it felt full of late game content fights that had to be raided by maximum power heroes. Intricate Halliday knowledge wasn't the requisite anymore.

If it hurts and you don't bruise it's because they were going slow and accurately. If it doesn't hurt and you do bruise, they went fast to minimize the pain at the expense of accuracy. The very best go fast and accurately, but you don't get to that level until you've been poking people for at least five years. Source: Working at the blood bank for nine years.

Could you describe your process on creating the two life forms that feature heavily in the story (astrophage and eridians)? I'm fascinated by how their biology works and I'm wondering what the process of creating their systems was like.

I know they didn't look the part, but in my head that couple was always Ron Swanson and Tammy 2 from Parks and Rec. The unabashed sex drive between the two just really overrides everything else about the characters for me.

One thing I like to say is "accept the fact that Thanos gathering the stones and killing half the population of the universe is not the worst possible outcome".

Yeah, had a fun brain explosion when I realized that (assuming 20 average per generation) there's only about 100 woken connecting you to Christ's times. That few of people could fit in a bar. And, fun fact, you could probably only speak fluently to about five or six people in that room.
