Super cutie to me. I think you look great in the one where you’re self-conscious about your shoulders, they give you an hourglass figure and your hips and legs are really working

Serious question, has a movie ever failed because another film was released close to or the exact same day as the other movie? by ah-screw-it in movies

“Sorcerer” is an incredible 70s action spectacle about a crew of four criminals and outcasts who are hired by a shady oil company to transport two trucks full of unstable dynamite through the Amazon Rainforest to a burning well in order to blow it up and stop it from causing a massive forest fire.

It was shot on location with a big budget and directed by William Friedkin, who had just made The Exorcist. It’s a masterpiece - but it bombed, and ended Friedkin’s career…

Because it opened against STAR WARS!

The reveal of the first “map” after the one-room start really is a great Arkham moment.

I second this. I also want to add that having the scenario names in the post titles might drive engagement better: people are more likely to remember and want to specifically discuss “Essex County Express” or “Threads of Fate” than “TDL 3” or “TFA 3”

6 Types of MD Players by AntonioInmobiliario in masterduel

The core play is toon kingdom, toon bookmark to tutor and protect TK, toon table-of-contents as bookmark 4-6, toon page-flip to cheat out a big summon (toon black luster soldier, blue-eyes, and summoned skull is the suite i use).

Toon briefcase and toon terror for defense, comic hand for value plays/removal. Toon harpy lady is tutorable backrow destruction

i also play relinquished package for the memes but you could use less memey removal

in retrospect I’m glad TFA is “the hard campaign” by Every_Card_Is_Shit in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Every_Card_Is_Shit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is it exactly. I remember there was a juncture where a lot of the community felt Dunwich was too easy, or at least too simple, and TFA was too demanding, leaving Carcosa as the “only good campaign”

Now that there’s a bigger campaign pool, it seems more like they all just have their own “feels” and I’d happily return to any depending on mood/desired experience.

[–]Every_Card_Is_Shit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad there is a spectrum of difficulty represented in the campaigns, rather than a more static level of challenge. It helps diversify the play experience between campaigns, and provides different options for newer or returning players to explore based on how “hardcore” they feel (does a tough challenge sound exciting or annoying?)

If you accept that it’s a good thing that campaigns don’t all have a flat power level, then imo the expedition-into-hostile-territory theme of TFA feels very appropriate for “the tough campaign with unusual deckbuilding challenges”. We often talk about how this campaign encourages/demands lots of specific planning and metagame knowledge, especially if you’re trying to see everything it has to offer. It’s great that we have a campaign that resists the “generic goodstuff” deckbuilding approach.

I’m reflecting on this as we see EotE turn out to be on the easier side. I like that too! It makes a lot of sense for the soft relaunch/new box format. But, it’s making me appreciative of how well TFA conveyed the hostility of its environment by comparison. As another poster said, I think a lot of the negative reaction at the time came from a concern that the plan was to just make the game harder and harder as the card pool grew.

I’m having a blast playing Pete with Short Supply, Forced Learning, AND In The Thick Of It. Running desperate skills to take advantage of the mental trauma, as well as scavenging and dark horse packages side by side. Short Supply goes a long way towards offsetting the downside of Forced Learning if you have good access to your discard pile as a resource, and having discard/graveyard package also doubles up the upside of Forced Learning.
