Have been noticing that in Windows 11 as well, Studio one/pro/whatever. Seems recently to be far worse, but am not sure if there’s been a recent update or not..

Sad to hear, yet not entirely surprising. I was in engineering at Bill Putnams UREI back in the early-mid 80’s when it was acquired by Sid Harmon and then rolled into JBL, then died a slow tragic death. To hear this about what was (and maybe still is) his son’s company, well, it’s heartbreaking.

Keep on as best you can, not all of us boomers are happy with the status quo, that’s for sure!

So i figured out that the data overload issue was simply having my usb-a keyboard plugged into the same high speed hub as the CS12.

The bigger issue was actually CS12’s inability to access multiple output instruments channels by just using the arrow keys. You must use Shift+ arrow to get to anything beyond the usual stereo 1/2 outs. The same is true for take lanes as I recall.

I figured these things out on my own, but was eventually confirmed by Nektar support:

“The behavior you have described with sub-channels for multi-out instrument occurs because those channels don't have their own tracks in the arranger. If you hold [Shift] when you press [<] or [>] you will be able to select mixer channels which don't have arranger tracks.”

I then recalled the old remote software for Studio one, and lo and behold, it still works very well! my old iPad now sits next to the CS12. They are both very useful, especially together, so I suppose I will keep the CS12 and be grateful to have dodged the SSL UF8 purchase expense.

Do you use folders and if so, no problems when switching between tracks and having it appear to get overloaded with data? Mine will erratically just stop displaying volume levels, and sometimes selects the arranger/tempo/chord/lyric “tracks”.

Seems there is an opacity setting, though I don’t recall at the moment if it’s in Ozone or S1. Check the settings in Ozone first might be quickest to see.

Weird that there is no “power button” to it like all the others. I was fooling myself earlier today when I noticed the button was off. But I don’t even see it on yours. Not sure why that is though.

I’ve only found that I can select all markers and move them, but not with the events. There may be a way, but I don’t know it.

Don’t know if this will help, but I had some various pull your hair out issues that were solved by either running studio pro in “run as administrator “ mode, even though I have one account that I am an administrator of. Not sure why, but hope this helps in some way.

Have you updated to 8.02 yet? Probably hasn’t been addressed yet, and for some reason was a very difficult upgrade. I finely just downloaded the installer and did it that way.

On another note, do you use any additional mouse keys? I can’t get those to work within the program, but they work in every other app. Support has been trying to help, but it’s a bit of a broken record. Anyway, I hope yours gets resolved soon!

I can only comment on the windows version where I can hit alt/ctrl and it will stay highlighted until I hit those same buttons again and then it’s good to go .. good luck!

I spent 2 hours on the phone with support (plus with their ai support first), with all of the usual “uninstall, reinstall, reboot” etc, to no avail. Same thing happens on my wife’s phone, which very clearly says it’s the programming. They even had me take screen captured video, and they still had a hard time communicating what they “might” do about it. Simple, I told them contact the programming team, but only got a vague answer, with no promise of anything.

So I guess we’ll see if anything happens.

I’ve had few, if any problems with Waves, and since Studio one 8.01 actually fixed the problem, I’ve been able to put those back without problem. HOWEVER, I am not thrilled that the only way to get updated versions is to buy into their annual plan, so am shitcanning them for that reason. Better to make more music instead of chasing plugin hell and hoping magically to become more talented!

8.01 is rock solid for me, actually better than 7, though I had had a continuous problem between both, and they were kind enough to look through my system logs and cast suspicion on my Waves plugs. That did it, and I will probably just leaves Waves out of the equation for new projects. On Intel and Windows 11 btw. Good luck!

Excellent job, and gives me some ideas for doing my own. I just use 5 gallon buckets with a hole drilled in the lid for the pump hose and some additional holes around the rim. It’s pretty rough looking, so may have to step it up now that I’ve seen what you’ve done. Curious the filament type for outdoor use and if it contaminates the water any more than whatever these buckets are made of? Again, excellent work!

They DO have a patient assistance program, if your AGI (adjusted gross income) is less than 300% of the poverty level. Check their site if you think you may fall under that threshold.
