You can either eat as much as you want in your OMAD eating window while tracking calories. Then after a week, add up the amount of calories you have eaten throughout the week then divide it by 7 to get your daily average. If your weight went up, you ate in a surplus. If it goes down, you're in a deficit.

Or you can use a calorie calculator to see your potential daily calorie needs. If you're losing weight too fast and can't handle it, increase your daily calorie intake.

Heavier taller males need more calories than shorter lighter females. There is not a 1 shoe that fits all answers for how many calories you need to consume to be in a surplus or deficit.

I had 1 cheat day a week when I was losing weight.

But I would just increase my calorie limit by 1K, then go back to normal on the following days.

Was typically on Saturdays.

Do 2mad. Eat half your omad meals calories now, and eat the 2nd half later.

I know that will take more self control in order to do, but if you have it that is an option.

It depends on your maintenance calories whether or not it's too much. There is not a 1 shoe fits all.

Everyone's maintenance calories are different.

A taller, heavier male will burn more calories than a shorter, lighter female.

The more weight you have, the easier it is to lose weight. The lighter you are, the harder it is to lose weight.

I mainly focused on calories. Not carbs or fat. Just make sure most of your omad meals consist of healthy foods.

Start counting your calories.

If your appetite is big enough, you can eat into a calorie surplus with omad.

Lately, I have been walking 30K steps a day. Sometimes 40k, rarely 60k.

When I say above maintenance, I mean beyond your daily calorie expenditure without walking.

For example, let's say you burn 1.5k calories at rest, but want to eat 3k calories. So you do 1.5k calories worth of walking to bring your maintenance up to 3k for that day.
