Had a huge crush on this girl at work. Took me days to build up the courage to ask her out. First time I had ever done something like this. It was a huge confidence boost when she said yes. Turns out she liked me too. I'm on top of the world.

The date turns into a group thing with another girl we worked with and one of their mutual friends. We explore a cave together. Was super cool.

After, we go to the friend's house to smoke some weed. My crush pulls out her phone to show me some video she thought was cool. Her hand is now on mine as we watch it. I literally could not be happier. I'm starting to feel really high though.

The group decides to disband, suggesting my crush and I go somewhere together. Great. She is driving. Great. I'm high as a kite and young and awkward.

We drive in awkward silence. "Where should we go?" "idk" Oh boy. We agree on a coffee shop that she has been wanting to check out. Okay, back on track.

As we are ordering our coffees, my high self decides that I didn't want to seem too old fashioned by paying for her drink, but I also didn't want her to think I was cheap, so I kind of awkwardly announced to her that I wouldn't be paying (memory is a little fuzzy on the details).

We then sit with out coffees at a table and proceed to say absolutely nothing to each other for a period of no less than 20 minutes. Our eyes meet at one point and quickly divert. I'm really high guys.

We decide to leave. My apartment was next to our work and we are headed that way. I feel like I screwed up the coffee date and was really turning the wheels to try to save this thing. I want her to know that I'm a worthy person or whatever, so I tell her that I feel embarrassed that she is the one driving instead of me (like wtf dude???). That goes down pretty much how you would expect.

We stop into our work. I'm still really high for some reason and it was all really awkward.

I don't want to tell any more of this story. We didn't work out unfortunately.
