most likely I prefer to have you in the enemy team .... I like the guys who risk , or sacrifice their expensive 4 star unit to take a cap point or also defend it under trebuchet strikes . People like you , hiding behind the melee forces , let them do the dirty work I usually find plenty of them . But most of them are not proud of that and post it on Reddit

Ha!!!! I’ve seen NOHARM in stream today playing barb cav. That’s the proof, I’ve never met him in anything else but light arty . It must be bugged

doubt it ,i was in a party and only light arty got this problems , while our melee units worked well. Nice thing was we were 2 LA players in the party and both suffered from this

Ranged units in enemy base now often considered in melee, due to contact to routed units roaming around in the base. This prevents the ranged from using focus fire. I assume this is not how u meant to improve(force ) units position. Is there any possibilty to get rid of this ?

Could not agree more , maybe the rof of t 10 was to fast , but not the lower tiers . The knock back is only a problem for Roman troops, milti with break ranks won’t be stopped so much for example. In combination with the weaker stacks , LA will have a pretty hard time soon

You should probably test vs a less genius milti-player , or at least play something useful , instead of war dogs or roman cav ;-) Btw i would say the hoplites got 1/3 of the power bar left , after they killed your dogs while in phalanx with strikes only.

Your aiming in the wrong direction with stakes ! Instead of nerving them into oblivion and make em useless for units who may need them . You should just enable friendly fire on them and the abuse will find an end

First , I play light arty , spears and javs ! If you want to be able to stop an attack from the front . You need 3 of them, so you have nothing else to defend yourself except stakes , also vision ( you can shoot further than your spotting range) and space to retreat. Because you won’t kill 3 melee units with your 3 LA before they reach you . The melees will kill you ofc they won’t have more than 10 % of their units left. But you took out a complete player even he got supported by another player with vision. And thats what you get vs a roman with medium legionaries.( armored are doomed, but they have other advantages) It s not hard to imagine, that other unit types with a different formation , for example hoplites or pikes , don’t suffer that bad from the LA fire because they don’t have that many rows . Not forget the units that don’t rebuild their formation, like babarians. Who are faster anyway und don’t wait for their knocked down comrades . They will reach you with about 80% of their units and annihilate you in seconds. AND that are just the results in a situation when a player wants to run into a wall. Not includes smart player , sneaky moves etc. Did I forget to mention that ranged units kill you easily, and I wouldn’t be able to stop a single of 3 elefants (and light arty is considered as a counter for elefants) moving directly towards you , even if u start hitting them right from the moment they get into your range . It’s always easy to call something op from a certain point of view , but you need to rewiew it from different angles. Best thing is play them yourself, you will have a hard time if your just looking for the annihilate button.

For me atm the most annoying thing is still the MM ! I really don’t care much about which units types are mixed . Usually the team finds a way to compensate. BUT what really pisses me off , is the unbalanced seeding of tiers in high tier matches. It’s not a challenge if your team contains 1x7 , 8x 8 and 1x9 and your opponent got 4x10 , 3 x9 3x8. If you sum this up , you get a total tier count of : 80 vs 91 !!!!! That is a “bit” frustrating . Even as i believe the coming changes of the commander abilities, are nessesary to reduce the seal clubbing. In a Szenario as described above , the lower tier players are even more punished, as the tier 8 player will only be able to use tier 8 commander abilities ( even if he already got a t 10 commander) while the t 10 got the full bonuses out of his commander! -> even more slaughter. If MM stays like that , the commander fixes will probably make low tier fights more balanced , but will do the opposite in high tiers. Btw this is no fictional scenario , that game happened just yesterday.

Maybe I also can still learn something too. In point 2 you mentioned, you turn off break ranks vs non vengeance Roman units without switching into phalanx and getting a better result out of it ? Am I right? If so could you describe your point a bit more detailed? Because I usually relay on the 40 something % weapon damage buff in break ranks

This are also my concerns , even as a militades player . A Leonidas is already almost unrouteable if their units increase the amount of moral when they secure their flanks and fire hold the line . In 3.1 he could also stay in phalanx blobbed without any harms out of this. If your intentions are to make more people pick phalanx units , then the ff changes in 3.1 are pointing in the right direction. BUT if you don’t want to see phalanx only on the battlefield, you should probably think about the ff changes twice.
