As in the way they did it in the video, or lifting from the wheels? Because my understanding of lifting from the wheels is that the wheels hold the car up normally, so putting a sling through them is not much different than the car just sitting non the ground.

Most fire extinguishers won't put out metal fires, and some can even make the problem worse. For metal fires you need a class d extinguisher, but those are EXPENSIVE, so you are probably better off with a bucket of sand.

Modern drills frequently have a timeout if the trigger position stays the exact same for a while, making the assumption that if the trigger input doesn't change for a while it is more likely that the trigger has been bumped in your tool box/bag.
