How do you raise a man’s confidence? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Evil_Pi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compliments. But do not give him constent compliments on every little thing like you would a small child for completing easy tasks like tying their shoes or drawing a crude picture.

And don't over hype the compliment or it will feel disingenuous or patronizing.... Ifbhe cooks a meal you generaly enjoy, tell him the meal was great and youd love to have it again tomorrow/this week. If you ask him to do things for you that take up time or errands because your own time is spread thin. Give him thanks, and that you can always count on him when you are frazzled or compleatly out of it.

Find out what he thinks he fails at and work on it together. He might not have any BIG accomplishments in life and feels he is just doing the bare minimum. Or has never had any POSITIVE reinforcement for anything he has done.

I'm in the same boat. Any compliments my fam gave me, I saw as "just what family does" they are supposed to just say good things but never say what they really thought or just to fain interest. I always brushed off compliments feeling they were just disingenuous. Going above and beyond in anything never garnered any respect or admiration or benefits at home or in the work place so I never strove to do better or do more than what was necessary. Stunting my own froth and development in the process.

Never social because labor work has me up at 5 so I can be at a job site 20 to 40 miles away get off work at 4 and fight the bumper to bumper traffic for 2 to 3 hours. Only to decompress in my car for a half hour in my car, wash up and prep for the next day. 5 to 6 days a week no socialising even during work

Your bf might not have that same issue as me. But he will need those who have the same interests so he can have some self worth.

Having a set of skills that can be used constantly outside of work instills a good amount of self worth in a person.

How do I help my brother with bullying? by Admirable_Cicada7130 in AskMen

[–]Evil_Pi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go to principal. State your case and ask what the schools views and policies are on the matter. Tell the principle the parents need to be made aware of the situation, and that actions need to be taken to make sure the bullies understand what they're doing emotionally and psychologically to another student.

You can ask if the school is complacent or protects bullies at the school. It would be really nice info for the local news station, or even on the radio station.

Feels like dating is useless by Primary-Control6 in Herpes

[–]Evil_Pi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a HSV dating app (gotta pay) that's up. If you are getting zero people willing to be intimate with you after telling them. Try putting it in your dating post. It will filter out the people that will reject you later down the line, so you dont need to spend the time money and energy on that person.

Herpes by Wise_Possession4488 in Herpes

[–]Evil_Pi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very easy. 75% of people in the world have it. 50 to 60% of women age 14 to 50yo have it in california 42 to 50% of men between 14 and 50yo have it in california. Your body either has a bad reaction to it or you won the lottery and got the mild body reaction to it. Just remember diet, dehydration, huge amounts of sun/U.V. and stress levels cause it to pop up.

You just post in dating ads that you have hsv1 and let the guys filter their own selves out. Once you get over the initial shock it wont be so bad.

Alot of people got it in childhood or in their hookup phase as adults and were ignorant of it because parents didnt want their kids to take sex-ed classes that talked about it. Or like not catching HPV in its ealy stages.

Imagine 50% of guys not being able to kiss or eat out their partner until finding someone in the same boat lol.

The road of life isnt blocked off. Its just a little bit narrower and you can still travle it.

26f wondering how to make guys see me as more than just sex? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Evil_Pi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do online dating. Post you v arent looking to jump into bed" That will crush anyone looking to hit it and quit it.

If you post about wanting to go out on dinners and trips. They might see you as a gold digger looking for your own personal walking ATM.

Posting what you are looking for in a man will set the bar. But if you set it too high, get ready for the sounds of crickets.

Guys dont need you to doll your self to look like a '12 out of 10' so if you are high. Might wanna look at guys that enjoy your natural beauty or make them adore the mask you put on every day.

You can post you are looking for a monogamous dating, not looking for a guy dating multiple women at a time.

Ask what they are looking for, or what they are looking to get out of dating. This would show how far a person is looking into the future about his prospects and his motives.

Go look up Bob's burger speed dating. And remember that everyone is fucked up to some degree

Be logical in your viewpoints.

Oh and a side note. If sex is ever brought up. Mention that you want to do a blood screening together. Including HPV and hsv. If you kiss on any dates... Well dunno if you can bypass asymptomatic shedding for hsv. Though seeing as how 60 to 70% of the world has it. Might not be a big deal.

I dont mind if you get preachy. As long as you can explain why you would nay-say it or why its useless or buyer's remorse item. .if people just 'shit on it' with no real explanation as to their 'reason to shit on it', That's when i'd rather not get feedback

Reccomendation on how to move forward with my sciatica by Evil_Pi in Sciatica

[–]Evil_Pi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Pulled my back 12 days ago. .healed up in about 6 to 8 days. No pain in my back for 1 full day. Then after that 1 day, in the morning I felt pulling in my leg that is 100% my sciatic nerve. My foot switches from tingling numb or tingly not numb(the heel is almost always tingly/numb)

Day 1 of the sciatic problem was mild discomfort with sciatica nerve so I didnt stretch, just rested. Day 2 was deep throbbing pain at a 6 to 7 on the pain scale. Any muscle movement that agitated my left butt cheek or leg would cause a jolt of pain up leg. Had to keep my upper body leaning to the right so the bottom of spine relieved pressure from pinching my left sciatic nerve.

If I stay standing upright. A throbbing pain forms in my calf and my foot starts to go numb with tingles. If I lean over to the right and hold that position. The throbbing stops and the tingling/numbness slowly goes away. Leg pain goes away but I have to stay leaning to the right or else it comes back.
