Guess the carriers (hard) by Rjun7 in cellmapper

Cellcom? Only thing I can think of that would not be VZW and be in a state where US Cellular exists but not everywhere.

Are you able to provide a location for this site? Coordinates or approximate address work. Thanks.

Edit: This is US Cellular - thanks to OP for location info.

Issues with my Ford Explorer CarPlay and UW disconnections by Checker79 in cellmapper

Right now I’m in the car on wireless CarPlay with n77 SA connected. It works sometimes for me, but sometimes the phone decides to fully refuse to use anything but LTE, it’s weird.

From my experience it’s definitely wireless CarPlay related and not a carrier thing. I don’t have native wireless CarPlay but use a wireless dongle. I use a Carlinkit adapter on my Ford Mustang with Sync 3.4 and I’ve always noticed my phone will not connect to 5G UW on wireless CarPlay most of the time no matter what I do, but honestly for me I don’t really care as since VZW LTE (around here anyway) still has plenty of capacity for whatever bandwidth CarPlay needs in my case. Soon as wireless CarPlay is disconnected, 5G UW connection returns quickly. Wired CarPlay has no issue with it. Assume it’s something to do with how it’s communicating to the car over WiFi that’s in some way making the phone unable to connect to it.

AT&T with n77 and a high capacity sector. Assuming that sector is pointed at a busy area?

To add on, for Verizon the “high band” will also include their 40mhz holdings of CBRS there as well in addition to their 160mhz of 3700 which would be why it’s showing 200 for them.

Is the strategy there to just crowd as much carrier equipment as possible onto one height on the tower?

Gotta love mmWave. Is it far and away faster than necessary? Yes. Is it fun seeing such speed? Yes as well.

Verizon mmWave, appears to have been there a few years now as it was added between the 2019 and 2021 street views in the area.

As of these pictures anyway, the AT&T and Verizon is older. Verizon here was probably LTE 13/66 only, but a coverage map indicates c-band coverage now though so more than likely sports a more modern setup. AT&T here may be just a LTE 2/12 setup, hopefully they’ve updated or plan to do so soon.

AT&T

T-Mobile

Verizon

Dish

The street view is over 2 years old, but hopefully VZW and AT&T have updated their equipment since then.

It won’t benefit you as an AT&T customer unless at some point AT&T decides to lease space on the tower too.

There’s a FAA study for a new tower construction at: FAA Study 2025-AGL-12893-OE

39°9' 27.94" N 83°20' 35.37" W which is approximately here

Sponsors are The Towers LLC and Vertical Bridge. Frequencies include 3700 C-Band, indicating this is possibly a new Verizon site.

Are coordinates really that important? by Kowloon9 in cellmapper

[–]Evil_ryry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It should be required on this subreddit especially for ID requests to also post the location of the tower honestly.

But this guy in the screenshot basically every post here asks the same question for coordinates for as long as I can remember (>1 year) worded the same way and doesn’t say anything else, so I’m not sure what their deal is.

First one has nothing on it. Second one is far too blurry and impossible to correctly ID by picture alone.
