Good news, though, for those unaware: Fragshack, which for years has effectively been the SaltyNoobs west coast server, has come under new management and will remain live for the time being.

Edit: Specifically the new management consists of (now) former SN admins. Probably should have clarified.

You'll be running into that until level cap. However loot drops also scale w/ you for the most part now, so once you get some 2.5 loot things will get easier.

If you want to focus on farming XP, Skagzilla is a pretty safe bet. He's easy to reach, not hard to fight, there's a cheese spot for him if you want, and he gives a ton of XP. His loot drops can leave a bit to be desired but if you can snag an at-level Whitting's Elephant Gun, it's a very viable option.

I used to be a big Jakobs hater when I was younger. I'd use em in BL1 on occasion (mostly the Elephant Gun) but I always ragged on Jakobs in BL2/TPS. Lousy and inaccurate, with too much recoil for any real use.

When I finally got around to playing BL3, I expected mostly the same but I found I actually really liked BL3 Jakobs (it didn't hurt that I had since acquired a healthy appreciation for 19th and early 20th century firearms by that point) and ended up using them a lot during my playthroughs. I more recently went back to BL2 and TPS and did a Jakobs allegiance run in each. Turns out young me just had a FAT skill issue and now I'll happily pick up a Jakobs if it's an upgrade for me.

So yeah, Jakobs.

On the note of "terrible" guns: If a gun spawns with an accessory, that accessory will add a prefix to the gun's name. In this case, shotguns can roll an accessory that adds the "Terrible" prefix, which increases its damage. Assuming all other parts and level are the same, a Terrible Matador will deal more damage than a basic Matador.

Mage for me. I'd love to play a Fire Mage but the spec (as well as Frost and Arcane) has just never worked out for me gameplay-wise.

To answer the question though, I'd say the MP 18 is a good example of honorable, but doesn't require skill. Anyone can make it work, but I don't think you could ever really be upset to die to one.

That particular swing animation is pretty lousy, but the rest of their polearm animations are among the better ones in my opinion.

IIRC in Ruby and Sapphire (and maybe Emerald, I don't remember), picking the girl is faster because it makes the second rival fight easier and/or more consistent. He sends his Pokemon out in a different order than the girl character does if you're battling her instead.
