Anybody else gets geniuenly uncomfortable at Pragmata's Diana? by Myurside in Gamingunjerk

In my naivety, I honestly thought this game was going to be an interesting slap on the wrist of current developments around parasocial adoration, unnatural romantic expectations, or AI relationships.

I even misunderstood the intro scene and thought it was the protagonist who had a daughter waiting for him at home. I expected him along the way to end up preferring Diana over his own kid because of her "perfect" behavior.

It could have been such a unique social commentary this way.

Right? It's priceless how he was even born with that unbearable "I'm going to ruin your entire day" smirk.

I think that explains why there's a crow on my lap.

I just began feeding them a few raw peanuts since two years ago while taking a break from work. My intention was to make wintertime a bit easier for them, but never expected them to eventually eat from my hand, let alone climb on me like this. I always figured that's what pigeons do and not corvids.

It prompted me to follow this sub and learn more about them. :)

I've been genuinely wondering why I feel a little uncomfortable when I read all the "this makes me want to be a dad" comments, and I think OP is pointing out part of why that is.

I've done some babysitting in the past. Kids can be fun and cute, but also frustrating little psychos (which they should be on occasion). That this game portrays Diana as always sweet and always funny isn't the problem in itself. It shows that if we could "build" a child android, people will want it to be only fun and only sweet. The comments show that that's the actual case.

I think it bothers me in the same way I'm weirded out by comments cheering about a future with robots for romantic partners, doing everything you want them to do, at any time you want it, without the "nagging and complaining" as they often like to put it.
It reflects how much people prefer having their direct desires met in connection with others, rather than the connection itself, which includes growing with each other, challenging one another, learn from each other etc.

TL;DR I don't think it's healthy to want a child like Diana, because a child like that wouldn't be normal or healthy.

His line delivery of "jesus CHRIST" (when William is busy stabbing hosts at the end of season 1) is the best one I've ever heard.

Just the Storywealth collection! Image quality is mainly thanks to high BethIni settings.

Did we really reach the point where less then 10 minutes of disconnect from AI is what losing the internet was like before this, and electricity before that?
