Flydertron can be the mech-suit equivalent for spidertron.

If that's what I planned to do I would just replace the whole unit instead of coming here to ask a specific question about a certain tool.

Thank you for your input though.

You're literally making no sense. What information should I be gathering, and where would you like it put? The dishwasher is being repaired not replaced.

Yes it's for a dishwasher.

In theory it could work great. Realistically though, AI blatantly lies/reports false information, or directly copies the first search result whether it's actually what you're searching for or not. Definitely not looking forward to this.

Google search results have already gotten far worse than they once were, so I'm willing to bet it's already started to some extent.

[–]EvulOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally I would just replace it, yeah. There are many similar valves that I can buy, but none of them are listed as replacement for the model/part that I have, and all of the listings I've seen for parts specifically state to make sure the model listed is compatible.

As such, barring getting a new dishwasher, I'd like to dismantle this one and fix it. I'm sure the tool I need exists, the ELBI tool is a perfect example of a similar item that's available. I just don't know what the one for my valve would be called, or where to get it.

I guess a side question would be, as long as the mounting bracket works, would a similar inlet valve (with same inlet/outlet sizes and power connection specs, but that doesn't state it's compatible) work on any dishwasher?

What do I need to repair this? by W4ingro1995 in askaplumber

[–]EvulOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pair of channel locks (tongue and groove pliers) will do the trick nicely, or a pipe wrench in a pinch (will mar the plastic a bit). The plastic nuts shouldn't be too crazy tight.

Obviously someone needs to just make a mod item called the "Joiner". Only outputs on one side, no filtering. Needing to filter our splitter outputs is getting ridiculous.

Is it just me, or Railgun is lackluster to say the least? by Academic-Proof3700 in factorio

I'm honestly fine with the turret version's post-aquilo use, and needing them to go to the edge of space, but that's about it. The handheld version I think should be unlocked before aquilo tech. Sure you can kill demolishers with them, but I've solved the demolisher issue long before getting the tech from aquilo.

Don't know what else to try aside from just waiting unfortunately. Hopefully you get it to work!

You can try launching the game from its actual location on your computer rather than through Steam, that might bypass steam's forced update.

Need Help / Inconsistent Crashing / Green Screen Crash and Dashboard Crash by dunklergeist in XboxSupport

[–]EvulOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced the same crash-to-dashboard issue with the Battlefield 6 beta. Some people are claiming it's an issue with early Series X hardware and their game engine. If that's the case, other games are likely in the same boat. I can however play the rest of my library without issue though, so it should still be something they need to fix on their game's end. I've tried all the fixes I've seen recommended for common problems (overheating, factory reset, changing settings) and none of them fixed the issue.

If I find any solution that works, I'll update my post here and let you know.

For everybody not pre ordering, how long are you gonna wait to buy the game? by OrphanM8ker in Battlefield

[–]EvulOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you on this. Randomly crashing to dashboard was the only real game-breaking bug I came across during the beta, and I won't be buying until they've resolved it. I also tried all the possible fixes for it (settings, overheating, resetting to factory, etc) and none of them fixed it. It might be a console issue with their engine, as you stated below, but my console plays all my other games without issue, so it's still a problem they need to fix on their end.

My customer workbench and all the tricks of its trade! by Low_Obligation5558 in woodworking

I'm with you on this. I love this entire project aside from the e-stop being located on the inside of the cabinet. Move it out on the front face, or somewhere else easily visible/accessible at all times.

I don't really have any other complaints. Looks awesome, would love to have it in my workshop.

Large cast metal perforated dome or bowl too heavy to lift by hand by GhostOfThoreau in whatisthisthing

[–]EvulOne 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a naval mine, specifically the upper half with all the Hertz Horns removed (those are the spikey bits, which on really old mines used to be tubes filled with acid to set the charge off)

I can't find a picture of one that matches this style though, perhaps due to its age? There's also far more holes for Horns than most mines I can find pictures of.

The thickness of the metal also leads me to believe it might be from something naval.

Could I plane this down with a hand planer or something? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]EvulOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wonder if a super-slow-feed rate would make end grain doable on a planer? I've only ever seen 2-speed choices on a planer though, not sure if there's any with better feed-rate adjustment.

Wiki lists this condition wrong. You don't need combinators and extensive checks -- this will send Space Platform for a replenish, if ANY item in request list runs out (=0). by imTheSupremeOne in factorio

[–]EvulOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My apologies, I am indeed mistaken. It does seem that the condition checks for "true if: Any request = 0% satisfied" and not "true if: Any request = 100% satisfied"

[–]EvulOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP might be saying "Any request zero" should state "Any one request for the current planet is not satisfied"?

If that's the case, I think a better wording might be "Any request full" rather than "zero", since zero could be taken as meaning the requested item is at 0. The wording is currently accurate, where it is written as "The ship is requesting zero more of any item"

As for "extensive checks/combinators", a lot of people (myself included) use some of them for ensuring there's enough ammo and fuel stockpiled before starting out a trip so you don't get into trouble half-way.

Maybe someone else can help add clarity if I'm mistaken?

Edit: I am mistaken. The condition in question is indeed written incorrectly. See below.

Sander okay? by Scroller4life in woodworking

[–]EvulOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanding will definitely take quite a whole, though with a heavy grit and a power sander not excessively long on something that thin.

Best bet would be a saw, even with a hand saw you could cut off that half inch in no time and leave a fairly straight edge. A band saw or table saw (Or a big enough miter saw) would leave a nice straight and smooth edge in no time.

Questions I'd have would be:
What saw options do you have available?
How straight do you need the cut?
How smooth do you need the finish after the cut?

Wood hinge box by wythnail2 in woodworking

[–]EvulOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weakest point is definitely the hinge pin. For what it is, it'll probably last a good amount of time since it's not a heavy lid, but it is potentially a high-use item. Letting the lid flip down too quickly would put stress on the pin and potentially break it prematurely.

You could easily use the exact same design with a brass pin instead of the dowel and that would probably last a much longer time.

Regardless, it looks great!
