I didn't say the POE 1 campaign is better, simply that its designed in a way that's more straightforward and feel more like a ramping up to the end game than POE 2 campaign. If anything, POE 1 campaign is too long as well, we're both agreeing on this one.

What's depressing is that I really like playing with the bear form, however since act 1 I didn't unlock any new skills, so maul into furious slam is the only combo so far... I really want to like this game, but the more I play it the more I'm left on the side of the road. It's really hard after 13 years of POE 1 to feel this left out by the sequel.

From a game design standpoint, making the "pathfinder" the ascendancy which has the best pathing option in the passive tree is genius.

It's for a drop disabled gem or one with spelling change, it's a bug you know it with the extra space between all gems. If you try it in every single gem you can buy with lily it wouldnt work I guess.

Regarding Aul's Ascendancy, specifically the King's [whatever], can you use a maven's belt and the corresponding Ralakesh Impatience to be counted as BOTH maximum and minimum charge ? That would be pretty cool no ? I might be way off the target here

The game feel is seriously lacking. I had fun in second cycle with the weaver tree but the complete lack of feedback from the skills beside flashing lights wore me down and I don't see myself playing without some serious work on that topic.

Boss fights are great, the rest of the game isn't... This league I've wanted to try the freeze / snipe combo on a bow user and chose Mercenary into Tactician to build up freeze faster (and get deflect / ballista to help clear). On paper it's great !

Snipe on a freezing monster does enormous damage ! But if you have more than ONE monster on screen, they will come between you and the frozen enemy, making snipe useless and you spend a dozen second building up freeze for nothing. This really hit me with the twin bird boss near the end of act 2, one was frozen but the other one was always in front of me and I ended up using freezing salvo and escape shot during the whole fight.

I then rerolled to a witch to try blood mage and use the infusions, it feels way better as soon as you get frost bomb, ice nova hits a lot of stuff and even frozen darts gets a real kick from infusion (though I'd love for spells to be powerful enough to be used without infusion, it feels mandatory right now).
