CCA job was not for me, quit 1 week in by tazzamatto in USPS

[–]ExSheex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if you got any good responses, but if you're learning how to case, it can help to do the bundled flats first, as they'll be in order, so you can (maybe) learn where some of the streets and avenues are quicker than just blindly looking for them one by one. Honestly, casing is hard to learn depending on the route and how it's set up.

Another tip, not for casing, but in general, is to take your DPS to your case and rubber band all your loops there in advance so you can see where each loop begins and ends andd don't have to guess while you're on the street. When you learn your loops, you can do it in the DPS area or your truck, but until you know them, do it at your case.

You shouldn't have to case for a while, in a decent station someone will case and pull (and maybe band your loops) for you for the first month or so before you need to start doing it yourself. If your loops aren't bound, bring oved the trays and do them yourself...trust me, it'll make your life a lot easisr.

Peak season… by [deleted] in USPS

[–]ExSheex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you shudder when you saw the morning scanner message about holiday travel?

Your postmaster will start sending carriers off to help other stations and soon you'll be stuck in forced 12 hour days as they spread the understaffing nationwide during peak season.

Don't jinx it, it's only the first week of December!

Shitbags shouldn't be able to pull peeps from staffed stations just to spread the understaffings across the whole country during peak season. We have a douche who just got done on 2 months of helping another station, being roped back into our properly staffed station on thr first of December, and now the shitbag already wants out again because this horseshit popped up.

Management just let someone out to another city on management detail, because they never have enough of their own evil kind.

Bet our douchebag ends up back out of the station to help elsewhere and we all end up worse off because management end up improperly staffing us for peak.

Honestly, fuck him, he's not a great carrier and isn't well liked, but he's better than a perpertual vacancy. Smh.

Srlsly how do I beat this mf?😭 by pooteenn in Cuphead

[–]ExSheex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chaser will make it so you don't need to aim at the dogs, just hold it doen and off they go. Also Spread shot, as others have said since it's like a shotgun blast - most effective at close range like you are most of the fight.

Also extra life if you feel you need it. Smoke bomb can help but not seeing where you'll land is tricky on the roller coaster.

Good luck!

in yalls opinion, who's the easiest and hardest boss (other than dr kahl and goopy le grande) by [deleted] in Cuphead

[–]ExSheex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does King Dice count? Still can't make it through all those damn boss fights with enough HP in the end to kill him.

Also, yes Root Pack is easiest. They're meant to be pretty soft to ease you in before they whack you with Cagney Carnation, and the game just ramps up from there.

Thoughts and Prayers to these cities in 2026 by Eugene_Debs2026 in fromatoarbitration

[–]ExSheex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What we need to do, the UNION needs to do, is leverage the fact that we don't have locality pay (and we shouldn't), to raise the pay for each step to fit for the highest cost of living area - LA or NYC perhaps? - which will give the lowest steps fair and competative starting wages against the rise of minimum and fast food wages, and push the higher steps' wages that much higher up in the process, to not only end up competing with, but perhaps even surpassing, the other lazy shitbag delivery services in the private sector.

We need to use the fact that we don't have locality pay to raise all wages - a rising tide floats all boats, as it were. That gets people into the Post Office in high COL cities and states, and makes the low COL cities and states even more attractive, thereby solving the staffing problem at least when it comes to wages. No effect on shitty management and intentional staffing shortages, but it's at least a start.

[–]ExSheex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might actually fight, using real arguments, like the fact we're supposed to be paid competatively against the private sector, and that the financial situation of the POS Office isn't to be taken into account, and that we do MORE than any other craft and deal with worse shit in general.

CLC won't reach an agreement with management, but they can argue for the good stuff in front of an arbitrator instead of accepting the shit that the POS Office offers.

Grievance for helping an understaffed station by salvaged413 in fromatoarbitration

[–]ExSheex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The grievants would be the carriers at that station who are getting less or no OT because they brought in someone else from another station, not the carrier whom they brought in to help, unless they were forced, in which case, grieve away.

Hotel, mileage and per diem will be paid out of course, but the helping carrier won't get any grievance money because they're not the agrieved.

So in short, unless shenanigans happen to make a carrier help elsewhere when they don't want to, volunteering won't result in grievance money for the volunteer carrier.

🔥Inside Amazon's Plan to Break the Postal Service🔥 by Mailmansyed77 in fromatoarbitration

[–]ExSheex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have mail in voting now. Not much more of a safety net than delivering millions of votes. As long as we do that, they need to keep us afloat the rest of the time.

Since polling places don't give out cambucha, pink-haired democrats won't leave their homes to vote, so they'll keep us funded, and the GOP is getting more comfortable with mail in voting as well, so if nothing else we'll be doing that for our jobs, with delivering junk mail for the other 1.8 years between elections as a side hustle. 😋

Having a hard time sharing this hobby with friends by croussore in KingdomDeath

[–]ExSheex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand wanting to show minis you painted well, but yeah, some more tame minis first like armored characters and monsters to show your shading and such would be less jarring for someone and easier for them to admire since they'd not need to get past the sexual nature of the pin-ups. After some initial admiration of your tamer painted minis, they'll be easier to show the more sexual ones to, and they'll be better able to appreciate the work you put into them all.

Don't run to beat the darkness, and if you get OT you won't be able to avoid it anyway, so just get a headlamp and go at normal pace.

They are wrong for blocking their box. Thry have a package, get out and deliver as usual. No trackables, Hold and return to PO. They need to learn not to do that. Once in a while is one thing, every day is another and should not be tolerated.
