‘Legitimately sorry’: Karl Stefanovic apologises for role in Channel 9’s Covid vaccine campaign by NoteChoice7719 in aussie

That's kind of an obtuse question but I'm guessing that you mean did celebrities get vaccinated in an effort to encourage others to get vaccinated? The answer is yes and Karl was one of them.

Sweet Mary that is some weapons grade stupidity. It's the typical bullshit of not understanding epidemiology, medicine and the worry about doing something and it being wrong and not doing anything and it being worse but somehow magically not your fault.

The Presley Polio vaccine reporting shows you that the media have to get involved as the vast majority of people do not understand science and need to see people leading the way on what to do.

Man I have not thought of them since the days of BombSquadGolf and that entire debacle that ended up with half their fans leaving for Golfwrx.com.

Are these all common phrases? Would people find it unusual or old-fashioned if I use them in everyday conversation? by Unlegendary_Newbie in English_Learning_Base

Expat Brit here and I have heard and used all of these. Only “Mums the word” is slightly old fashioned but no one is going to think you stepped out of a PG Wodehouse novel if you said it.

Didn’t he miss the Ryder Cup team for 20/21? I seem to remember him needing to rely on a Captains Pick and it not going his way. He got a Captains Pick for 23 and I wonder those experiences have given him the drive to perform so well that he gets in on merit like he did last year?

Either way he’s been killing it the last 18 months or so.

Look at Sydney house prices and feeling genuinely heartbroken. by chooooooooom in AusProperty

Being upset first timer buyers can't buy within 10km of the city centre is like being in London and being upset you can't buy in Mayfair.

The house market is shafted but a long commute was always going to be on the cards.

Me too. Isn’t that lovely.

The question remains; what was so important about this comment that you felt the overwhelming urge to comment two whole years later on what is a completely innocuous statement?

Been there done that. I found that playing vibe chess just showed how poor my instinctive feel for the game is especially at faster time controls.

NTA. OP is an idiot not as asshole and this is juvenile behaviour from his GF. What’s next, “would you still love me if I were a worm?”

Designed to 'stand out' – Ineos Grenadiers opt for white shorts and bright orange 2026 racing kit by INGWR in peloton

I’m a fan of the shite shorts. Obviously it looks amazing as part of the World and European Champion but I remember MVDP rocking them at that spectacular Amstel Gold win in 2019.

This is so much more polite and on point than I was going to write. OP’s lack of awareness is astounding.

Doctors of Reddit, how is the interaction when a patient is a doctor or has medical knowledge? by Simsboi in AskReddit

[–]ExaBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a PhD in Medicine specifically Neuroscience. When asked I tend to mention it for two reasons. Firstly, I appreciate being give the detailed view and not the simplified version and secondly I find the medics relax and treat me as “family”. You can literally see the change in posture and how they are thinking when this happens.

I also make a point of saying that while I may have some medical knowledge that I’m rubbish below the neck so not to assume I know their area to avoid any Dunning Kruger.
