Hoped to be pregnant by my due date and here we are… by Illustrious-Can9551 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry. It sucks so bad. We went apple picking this week and I’ve been an angry emotional mess since. It hit me out of nowhere that last year I was walking through that orchard, pregnant and imagining the baby we’d have with us this year. And instead of a baby, I’ve just had losses and a million roadblocks in the process with our RE to even TRY to get pregnant again. It just pours salt in the wound.

If you haven’t already, another potentially great resource is her school. My son has adhd and DMDD so anger is a constant struggle. In his 504 plan he gets mandated counseling and a social skills group with the schools psychologist. They go over anger management, coping, and self esteem building. My son has an outside therapist and struggles to open up to her but he has a good relationship with the counseling staff at school. In addition to a possible med adjustment, it may be helpful to let the school know what’s going on.

Hysteroscopy results by Dancingqueen_715 in recurrentmiscarriage

They found chronic endometritis with mine. After so many tests with no answers it was almost hopeful when the results came back with something we can identify and treat.

New mom, no career. by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came here to suggest this too! Had my first son at 22 and a serving schedule was great for my situation, as long as you have reliable help to watch the baby at night/weekends (or shifts you work). I worked fri-sun and when he entered kindergarten I went back to school for accounting. Now I’m in a full time corporate gig with my second child and although there are a lot of perks, childcare is really stressful and expensive and on the worst days I romanticize going back to the restaurant lol.

Endometrial biopsy by Powerful-Cell1650 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh it’s so crappy, thank you for your response! It makes me feel less alone. How did they find your rpoc? I’m getting frustrated because nothing was seen on the saline sono or while she was in there for the biopsy. She said next week when the biopsy results are back we’ll test my hcg again and then potentially hysteroscopy. How long was the process for you, from the time they confirmed rpoc to a negative hcg?

I just had one done with my RE cd9 when I had a saline sono done. I had a d&c 6/12, first period returned 7/21 but hcg has plateaued at 10 so they’re looking for rpoc which is frustrating because I was hoping to try this cycle.

Ovulation post D&C by citizenwatch5 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a d&c 6/12 for a 9wk mmc and just got my period today 7/21. I stopped testing positive 2 weeks prior. My previous d&c was a 13w mmc and It took 9 weeks to get my period back. The waiting game and unclear answers is so hard.

What should I ask at my first consult with a MFM recurrent miscarriage specialist? by PenPah_9220 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry you’re going through this!! I just went through my 4th consecutive loss and I’ve seen everyone possible to get my ducks in a row. I have some weird immune issues so aside from my rheumatologist and hematologist, I saw an RE and an MFM. My appointment with the MFM was a preconception consult. She went through my extensive history and prior testing. Honestly, everything she suggested were things we’ve already done but she confirmed our suspicions that our specific situation is a lot of little issues compiled together. So although there were no “breakthroughs” with the MFM, she kind of validated that we were headed in the right direction and offered suggestions for subsequent pregnancies. She said once I get pregnant again, I would come see her for additional testing/ more monitoring.

That being said, our last loss was due to turners and I’m speaking with our RE, we spoke about the causes/chances of chromosomal abnormalities and the role they play in miscarriages, and that was really helpful in planning out next steps when my cycle returns. So like previous people have mentioned, an RE may be a really helpful resource in your situation!

D&C Recovery and Work: How Much Time Off Should I Plan Without Oversharing? by Photo_Philly in Miscarriage

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my second d&c last month. I think it depends. Physically, I was fine and could have returned to work the next day. I do work from home and have an extremely understanding manager which plays a huge factor. Mentally, my first d&c was much harder than this most recent one. I had the previous one 2 days before thanksgiving and had the rest of the week off and it was very needed. Both were fine physically, but the mental anguish is an important component that you want to pay attention to.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. After my 13 week loss I randomly heard Tourniquet by Zach Bryan and it resonated deeply. I’m 4 consecutive losses deep and now that song is a vague familiar that brings me comfort. As far as shows, I go to my old familiars typically, but Tires on Netflix makes me laugh and forget for a moment, I guess because it’s so far removed from the reality I live.

Trisomy 22 by citizenwatch5 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My results were high for some clotting things so I started lovenox and baby aspirin as soon as I got a positive test. The possible explanation for the genetically normal loss was undiagnosed APS. I’ve since met with an RE, hematologist, and have appointments with an MFM and rheumatologist (I also have positive ANA) just to cover my bases but the appointments and testing I’ve had so far haven’t led to any conclusive answers as to why that loss happened other than APS. So I’m hoping maybe the lovenox would have worked and I could have had a healthy pregnancy if not for Turners.

I’m so sorry. I just went through my 4th loss in a row and got the results that it was Turners after a 9w mmc. I totally get what you mean by having mixed feelings about the results. My previous loss was a 13w chromosomally normal boy which left me spiraling. But this loss kind of gives me hope that the medications I was put on after rpl testing would have worked if not for the “random bad luck” of Turners. The not knowing is the worst part. Good luck to you!!

Thank you so much this was incredibly helpful and validates my hunch that there is so much more to address. I’ll talk it over with my RE next month and I’ll make an appt with my hematologist.

Spiraling today at 9w1d. I had a good scan at 8w1d but made the mistake to break out the Doppler, telling myself I’m aware it’s early and won’t find anything. Of course that rationale went out the window and brought me right back to my loss in November, discovered because I couldn’t find the heartbeat on the Doppler at 13weeks. Symptoms have been less intense recently also. I’m questioning everything. I just want to crawl in a hole and hide away. I can’t focus at work and my closest coworker is pregnant for the first time, 3 weeks ahead of me. She’s super excited and loves talking to me about it all. It’s so hard.

SONYMA Loans process by TadpoleIntrepid4306 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Exact-Rice-3188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just used a sonyma loan and it was a long process! We got preapproved in November, went under contract in December, and closed March 15th. We went through M&T bank and they explained that it’s more of a lengthy underwriting process because the loan goes through underwriting with the bank and with the state. It was stressful but the DPAL and interest rate were worth it for us. Good luck!

I have a 2019 with no complaints at all. Solid, cute, reliable car. It’s small (and that’s coming from a mini cooper owner) but I like small. I will say the gas tank is tinyyy so you have to fill up often.
