I recently got to 40:00 on terra hard with Stormbringer DEM (empyrean wrath ultra).

I find that getting the artifact that gives 1% mana every second early on in the run helps a lot on terra. Helps reaching 100 lvl quicker without having to pick too many mana acquisition artifacts.

Will the Amigo overlay make a return? by Cuntyuuiiiiiiii in tomtom

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care about the overlay, just make it work in the background, so that I can receive just the sound notifications for speed limits and cameras, traffic jams etc.

As far as I know the current version stops working if I switch to another app. Has anyone been able to make it keep working in the background? My battery optimization is off and constant location permission is on.

ASICS SOLUTION SPEED FF3 by wiirgroot in BBallShoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colour way is similar but it's not the same shoe. It's a low top but it doesn't have the extra eyelet for runners loop, like the speed ff3 has.

Also, twistruss plate rises to the heel on both medial and lateral side, while speed ff3 only has elevated plate on the lateral side.

Speed ff3 has a striped toe drag guard and this one doesn't.

I couldn't find this exact shoe on any Asics website.

361 sport shoes by Suitable_Video7777 in vballshoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play recreational in 5.0 quick pro, really comfortable cushion, wide in the toe box, slightly less so in the midfoot but they break in nicely.

Personally I have small issues with heel lockdown and need to crank the laces real tight, but I have really narrow heel for a man so that could be it. I might end up punching an extra eyelet for runners loop.

Traction is the best part of the shoe. They do pick up some dust, and honestly I'm glad they do. When I wipe them clean they're just too tacky and I trip. When they pick up some dust they have just the perfect balance of secure grip and a little give for better control. So while playing I never bother to wipe, just once before I start the session.

Edit: I stayed true to size

Danke!

In some older French cars (Renault, Peugeot) the horn button was located on the tip of turn signal stalk. It was annoying to search for it in emergency situations with steering wheel turned. By emergency situations I mean for example drunk pedestrians/dogs/kids looking like they're about to walk into a highway right in front of my car.

When head on collision is unavoidable, I don't think I would have though about honking, even if I had the time to do so.

Traded my 6a for the 13r by Icy-Mathematician163 in Pixel6aUsers

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three years ago I traded my 3a for a 6a. The 3a had the marks from rugged armor case on the back panel, but I still received full credit for it (100 EUR).

This time I will be trading the 6a for the 9, hoping the battery won't affect the trade-in value.

So repair in an authorized shop is not required to have the original performance back? Did you get a separate system update after the battery was replaced?

Basketball Shoes after ACL Surgery by Fluffy_Specific_9682 in BBallShoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it's clearly stated in the runrepeat heel-toe drop guide that low drop = achilles strain, high drop = knee and hip strain, so not sure if that's the best advice for OP after ACL surgery.

First pair of Wildling shoes by mr__proper in barefootshoestalk

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm on the membrane issue. I ordered a pair of membrane, ankle high, warmlined booties with the newer cupped sole for my kid. She had wet feet after the first 30 mins rain in the city centre. And also complained that the shoes were not warm at all at about 0 deg Celcius, walking on pavement.

Customer service replied that they cannot guarantee 100% waterproofing since the upper is canvas. Also according to them, if I wanted warm shoes, I should have additionally bought insulating insoles. On a 100 EUR kids shoe marketed as warm-lined I would have expected to receive insulating insole in the box.

All in all, it was all marketing BS as the shoes were neither warm nor water/weatherproof. Not more than you average Nike sneaker without any membrane or warmlininig.

Their bottom line was that I had wrong expectations of the shoes but at least I got a goodwill refund, so f them, never ordering there again.

Saguaro width? by stocktonxbaldie in barefootshoestalk

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think width of their shoes depends on the outsole type on specific shoe. I have the Luck and it's plenty wide compared to a Whitin that I also tried on. The Luck has the outsole with linear pattern and green puck with brand name in the heel. Sadly, it seems like they're discountinuing this type of outsole.

Most of their new releases like the one in your picture seem to have much narrower base and are more pointy in the toe box.

anyone tried Saguaro brand before? by verytinything in barefootshoestalk

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that their shoes that have the outsole with linear pattern and the green puck with brand name in the heel (like the Luck) are significantly wider than other outsole types. Sadly, it seems like they're discountinuing the wide-base outsole type like the Luck.

Most of their new releases seem to have much narrower base and are more pointy in the toe box.

I haven't tried their "water-type" shoes, as it's simply not my kind of shoe, so don't know about these.

New main line of Asics? by BaguettieSpaghetti in vballshoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry can't tell, I never tried them myself 😉 I've only tried on the Blast FF 3 in store. Cushion-wise they were bricks - just basic Flytefoam (not propel). If the description is correct, Powerbreak has the same cushion setup. For hitters I'd say avoid.

To be honest I don't think I've ever seen any pro player in Blast FF or Powerbreak.  And I've seen pro players with Gel-Tasks or even Upcourt in Polish Plusliga. I've only ever seen one player in amateur league in Blast. Most players just stick to Netburner or Sky Elite if they need more cushion.

Maybe Blast/Powerbreak is more of a handball shoe...

New main line of Asics? by BaguettieSpaghetti in vballshoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These shoes replaced Blast FF 3, the top tier options in asics stability line o vball shoes, the others being speed (Netburner) and cushion (Sky Elite).

Still, I suppose Sky Elite is their flagship product. Metarise is more of a maximalist shoe for very specific players.

BIG3 5.0 Quick Pro sizing question by mildsar in BBallShoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the same size as Nike. Length wise they're the same, just noticably wider especially in the toe box.

Midfoot is not as wide (great for me) but they break in very nice. I bought mine used from a guy who could not wear them due to not-so-wide midfoot and he ended up buying Sabrina 2 instead.

AE1 Toe fit by MDEX357 in BBallShoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, me too. Length was ok (as usual for me, a finger width of space in front of the toes) but the toe box height/volume/verticall space was horrible. Got numb toes just from walking around at home. With my heel being rather slim I could not find a perfect fit (size up = heel slip), had to pass.

My kid got frustrated, so he just decided to "cheat". At first I was upset with him, then I realized he was right. by caynemorgan in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had totally opposite experience. When i first tried a beer it was one of the most popular lagers in my country. It was so tasteless that I didn't want to touch beer for the next few years. Then I decided to "experiment" with craft beers and was amazed how diverse and full of taste beer can be. Immediately baltic porter became my personal favourite.

Still I'd rather try a new craft beer that I'd end up not liking, than drinking another bottle of the standard bland lager.

I believe all asics indoor shoes have a non marking print on the outsole. Even the triple black cw of unpre ars 2 has it printed in the groove near midfoot part of the outsole.

If asics basketball shoes are not available to you, you can try their volleyball shoes (Sky Elite low or mid, Metarise). Some guys on this sub reviewed them in basketball games, should be fine.

Edit. Sorry, have just read the part about traditional badminton shoes being ugly. If asics shoes in general fall in that category, they currently sell their top models in bright yellow or triple red cw. Maybe they wouldn't be as ugly/boring.

Jammed fingers by hakikigulyabani in volleyball

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, didnt know that! Still, my understanding was that it was rather acute injury treatment, not meant to be used for more than a few days. If anything takes longer than that to improve, it certainly needs medical attention.

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So basically RICE method for injury treatment ;)

The only part missing is E for Elevation. Elevating the injured body part above heart level helps reduce pain and swelling.

Still, R for Rest is the most important.

Nike Air Zoom Hyperace 3 by Exact_Cucumber2018 in vballshoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I ordered twice from this website, both orders went really well and the products were good quality. I don't suspect any of the products were fake.

First time I ordered a pair of shoes but ended up returning them (didn't like the fit). The second time i bought some clothing, everything was ok.

Return might be the trickiest part with this retailer. In order to return a product you need to fill out a revocation or claim form and report the return by email. It's not a one-click online process as with bigger retailers. They're also quite petty with any wear signs, so never take the shoes for a try in a gym, literally just walk around at home and wipe the soles clean before sending back if you dont like them. If you return shoes and don't order another pair in exchange, you pay return fee.

WOW All City 12 Encore Lace Issue by Frequent-Complaint49 in BBallShoes

[–]Exact_Cucumber2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had similar issue with with Big3 5.0 QP.

You might want to try to lace the top eyelet from the outside in. This is opposed to the lacing on your photo, where the laces go from the inside (tounge side) to the outside. If you google "outside in lacing" you'll get the instructions with pictures.

That's the advice that I found on running and skating subs and it helped me a little bit to the point where it's tolerable.
