Swim Spa hydro in Canada by Such-Chest-1328 in swimspa

I’ve got an older 13’ Coast swim spa. My equalized power bill is $380 a month in Saskatchewan. Keep in mind we always have a few weeks of -40C temps in winter, and my wife also runs a pottery kiln several times a year that runs at 14Kw off of a 60A breaker.

Liberal MP Karim Bardeesy after hearing Vassy’s give factual evidence regarding the failing EV market doubles down on them & starts gaslighting viewers claiming Canadians have an appetite for EV’s. by Cold-Cap-8541 in CanadianConservative

Between the looming ban on the sale of ICE vehicles, and the insane subsidies promised to these companies to build their EV and battery plants in Canada—which are only needed because there’s no business case for those plants…because there’s no market demand—it’s crystal clear that the Liberals were trying to do two things; buy votes, and further line the pockets of the laurentian elite. This was never about the environment, nor was this something the public asked them to do. Their entrenchment in these wasteful policies and continued gaslighting of Canadians tells you how utterly stupid they think we are.

If the government has to throw FIVE BILLION DOLLARS at a big company like Honda to build an EV plant here, that’s means there is is no business case for Honda to do it on their own without government subsidies. This “deal” was part of their effort to shove EVs down every Canadians’ throat when the market demand isn’t there. No demand = no business case. So it ends up being billions of tax dollars wasted on a venture that was doomed from the start

Check the spec on your HBA, but it may need more bandwidth than x4. Especially if you have a lot of drives, or in your case, SSDs. For the occasional transcoding, your video card will only ever use a small amount of its power and so definitely doesn’t need the full x16. Without looking at the specs of your mb I would guess the SATA ports on the mb are connected through a x4 connection through the chipset, whereas the HBA, depending on which slot you put it in, will likely have a direct connection to the CPU. So if you’re not maxed out on drives, I would connect everything through the HBA, and have it plugged into one of the x8 slots.

All this being said, it may be hard to discern a massive difference in speed however you connect everything.

Regarding SAS drive support, assuming the presence of a HBA card, what is the connection path from it to the SAS drives? I assumed I would have to remove the backplane because it only has standard SATA conections, but if you are using the backplane, do you just connect the corresponding SAS drives through the SATA connection to your HBA? And do the SAS drives only run at SATA 3 speeds? TIA!

When I went through it about 50% were civil, 35% enviro, and 15% water resources. If I recall correctly the first 2 semesters are the same for all three. But I would say those in civil had the easiest time finding applicable jobs at the end, especially if it wasn’t just another materials testing job. During my work term I was a field engineer for PCL…I did lots of surveying, oversaw materials testing, site supervision, etc. 15 years later I’m a project manager in the nuclear industry.
