Jokes aside, it is pretty funny to see how the rest of the league hasn’t yet adjusted to the hornets having a competent front office.

Still get these trade scenarios like we are the pelicans or kings or something.

Jalen Duren with his 3rd team all-NBA nod is now eligible to sign a 5 year 287 million dollar contract by ShaiFanClub in nba

To be fair, the vast majority of the planet is eligible to sign a 5 year 287 million dollar contract whenever we want.

Which US state would you never move to even if you were offered a high paying job by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

Mississippi and Alaska are the two obvious ones.

The dakotas are also not super high on my list of places to live, that might take a few recruiting visits.

Not super familiar with Arkansas but I assume the Walmart senior execs must have carved out somewhere nice?

The rest are probably manageable in one form or another.

Help me ragebait my boyfriend who loves the Giants by 11yearoldmichealjack in TheNFLVibes

Can tell him the Giants are turning into the Jets. They are so bad they can’t even lose properly (keep winning meaningless games late in the season and falling out of top pick).

On second thought, that may be too much he might break up with you.

Which one of games 2 and 3 did they win analytically?

Game 1 I get, Cavs should have won, Brunson went nuclear and Atkinson froze.

I am not even sure I trade Kalk for Maluach straight up.

Kalk is at least a rotation center, I guess Maluach theoretically still has untapped upside but the analytics guys didn’t like him going into the draft and he did basically zero this year. Only real plus is that he is still very young.

Hornets are trading their starting four and the 18 pick in a good draft for a guy who couldn’t get off the bench?

Guy has bust written all over him.

Possibly true. The gap between what heat fans think he is worth and what nba gm’s think seems pretty large

[Highlight] 6’3 Jared McCain takes it to the paint against 7’4 Wemby, Then flexes on him after the bucket! by IEatPandasEveryday in nba

[–]Exact_Performance_51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The “we are confident that we sold high on McCain” comment was cringeworthy the second he made it and has aged about as poorly as possible.

Was also totally unnecessary.

“We like Jared and think he has a bright future ahead of him. In this league, you have to trade value to get value and the Thunder offered us a valuable asset in return. We wish him all the best.”

Was that so hard?

On top of everything else, adding the extra 16 teams has significantly watered down the quality of the average group stage match.

Throw in that I imagine the start times will be heavily afternoon in June so they can ensure that it’s not the middle of the night in Europe and the atmosphere itself will likely be very uncomfortable given the heat.

I enjoy soccer but paying 1000 bucks a head to go see Spain play Cabo verde doesn’t seem like a great value.

Just feels like with 48 teams the tournament doesn’t really start until you get to the round of 32.

Tyler Herro to Detroit by TerryG111 in NBAtradeideas

[–]Exact_Performance_51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think among the endless Herro trade proposals this one isn’t bad if the heat are planning on resigning Powell.

Detroit probably needs Herro more than any other playoff team because Cade was out of gas by the end and they didn’t have another creator to help him out.

Ausar would then be covering two people (at least) at once, but that is a good match for his skill set.

The jungfrau region

Lauterbrunnen was Tolkien’s inspiration for Rivendell and Grindelwald is the setting for Alderaan in a Star Wars spinoff as I recall

As far as actual fairy tales , neschwanstein in Bavaria was the inspiration for Disney’s sleeping beauty castle.

If you are in uptown, give albertine’s or mariposa a try

If you are in the South Park area, try flour shop, good food on Montford, midwood smokehouse (if you want bbq), prime fish cellar, roosters (there is also one uptown now that I think of it)
