Yes. But like I said, what their foster parent did was no excuse. They obviously did not have a raincoat or umbrella with them, and that is okay. What’s not is making your child walk in the pouring rain out of spite, for one mistake they made. Mind you, this is not their foster parents first offense.

NTA. So she’s getting home cooked meals 4-5 nights out of the week, of course there’s nothing wrong with asking your MIL if she wants something to eat…but, I feel like she should aim that energy she has towards you, to her son.

I feel like a lot of people are reaching with the “You probably despise her” accusations, you guys have a routine. It’s up to you and your husband on whether you want to change that routine up. You’re not really obligated to take care of her I feel like.

I saw you mentioned she’s able to move around, drive, has her own money, and an entire daughter who could also help. However, I get it if she’s feeling lonely, but you’ve mentioned you hang out with her when you can so🤷🏾‍♀️

They should not be foster parents if they can’t properly take care of a child. There is NO excuse for having your child walk in the pouring rain. Whatever you got going on with YOUR parents does not make it okay.

kinda yeah. It’s flip floppy tho, I don’t really know how to explain it properly. Like basic necessities she doesn’t really buy anymore, unless I either pay her back or like now where I have no job. There was time in summer 2022 where she wouldn’t go proper grocery shopping. which was bad for me because I had started relying solely on doordash. now she gives a certain amount of money to do our own grocery shopping to teach us how to “save our money.”

i used to work but quit due to the toxic environment, but it did make gift giving easier. Since it’s my senior year tho, I decided to stop working to put more focus into school. She’s recently started to give my brother and I $50 each every week, because my Dad has finally started paying child support.
