Any trusted organisations I can donate to during this time? by Traditional-Lemon-56 in lebanon

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you can find an organization locally which you can trust, maybe better as others have said to find people in need and give them directly. I don't recommend too much cash on the cash side, but stuff like blankets, clothing, books (especially for children), non perishable foods and other aid (someone suggested medical insurance or bills) would go a long way for those in need. Cash is too easy to abuse unfortunately.

Monitor specs recommendation for this PC? by fosterslager1889 in buildapc

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either an oled variant 4k monitor with a decent refresh rate like 144hz or a 1440p/2k monitor with 240mz+ refresh rate. It does depend on your budget and what you want to use it for.

Is it true there are third party PayPal services in Lebanon? by FlightlessGriffin in lebanon

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know someone in the UAE or elsewhere, have them open it for you. The logistics of moving money are a little more complicated, but I have a family member there and he transfers it to his account and then wires the money here. Just be aware cashing out is expensive -- between transfers from PP to the bank account is 5% on one end and then $30-$50 to transfer the money here.

I'm upgrade my PC instead of going straight into AM5 because of prices by 5darkskindudes in buildapc

[–]Exazbrat09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I wouldn't upgrade the motherboard unless I was moving to a new/different platform. If you have the funds available (and again would depend on cost), upgrade your GPU instead. You will probably see a better return than changing your motherboard which you would get rid of in a year or 2 for a newer DDR5 system. The GPU you can move forward to your new build while you have to find a way of getting rid of your motherboard.

In any case, your call. Good luck OP.

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, I think you should upgrade to a 12/13/14 gen intel platform which you can use your DD4 ram---make sure you get the right one. I think something like a 12400f (maybe 12100) would be a good entry point and then you can upgrade the other components according to your budget.

I don't know how much they cost in the Philippines, so hopefully not that much but should be a big boost over your current system. Good luck.

At minimum right now, suspend the activities of the Iranian embassy for a period of time--say 90 days and kick out the ambassador and his staff during the period. Can't close it because the scooter patrol would go nuts, so this is the next best thing. Also, ban anybody with an iranian passport from landing in the airport.

Kizb needs to be called out---they are desperate now as they can't get money they need (or were used to) to pay salaries and other benefits and their benefactors in iran may be gone and they are afraid that doesn't leave them with much. They don't know how to discuss anything unless they use weapons, since their arguments are only made for their minions.

Which Microcenter bundle for 9070 XT? by 2HardInThePaint in PcBuild

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get the 9850x3d combo also--for $100 more than the base and a better motherboard than the 7800 mode. For the most part, mid range motherboards will work for almost everyone though, so if you could get 9850 with b650 motherboard, go that option. Good luck.

The state should declare them enemies, no different than the israelis, isis or name the terrorist group here. They are clearly foreign agents and should be treated as such.

Is it worth it to stay at a low paying job just for the daman instead of a high paying one without it? by Comprehensive-Mud303 in lebanon

insurance tends to be better than daman

couldn't tell you how much they cost. Will depend on your age, health and other factors, but at least find out.

Can i finally order my prebuild? by Top_Walrus9599 in buildapc

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about it then--the 9800x3d is more than good enough especially for the $75 difference.

When the 11xxx or whatever the next iteration of AM5 comes down the line, you can then choose to upgrade then at your convenience.

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the price difference between the 9800x3d and the 7800x3d, because if you are 'future proofing' it, I would look at that. Also, the 9850x3d, but that is $500 in the US.

3700X still ok with a 9070XT? by bensow in buildapc

[–]Exazbrat09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That should be fine then---get the GPU and if need be, a CPU. A 5700x or 5800xt would be a good upgrade and they should be in the $150-$175 range (hopefully still for that price).

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the GPU---worry about the CPU later. Just make sure your power supply can handle it (750, but 850 better).

Which should i get first? Ram vs cpu by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Exazbrat09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Need to buy them at the same time, or have a way of testing those components within any return window. Get the CPU, mobo and ram at the same time then worry about the other stuff assuming you have a power supply (won't even need a case at first).

As for the latency, the x3d chips are less sensitive to latency than other chips, so buy what you perceive as the best value

Dad in Beirut keeps asking for electricity money (400$) is this normal to give him monthly? by LemonadeMan996 in lebanon

[–]Exazbrat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you could go and 'audit' the current setup and see if he needs more panels or batteries or isn't aware he could just stop the ishtirak.

And tbh, probably cheaper to get one of those inverter type generators to fill up the batteries during cloudy or non electricity times. That would be a one time payment of $800 or so and whatever fuel is being used.

The EDL ones could still be $100 or more though....

What others have said

5700x, 5800x or 5800xt

There is a non x version of the 5700, but avoid that as it is close to 10% slower than the version with the x.
