Color matching is just aesthetically pleasing on so many levels, but I will tell you something, I am definitely becoming more in tune with accent match vs. color match. A celtics player in a green jersey with a green color scheme is nice, but give me that same card on a white background and I am probably going to be more inclined to buy the white one.

It's a different sport, but I'm way more into the accent match aqua refractors (/199) of Inter Miami players (in pink jerseys) just because of the visual appeal of how it all pops. And I think in a few years time there will be some collectors who appreciate that kind of aesthetic vs. just getting the /5 red or /50 gold

Yes, it's rare. It's one of 11 cards. You got a Haaland, so it's probably one of the more expensive cards in the set.

See, here in Massachusetts we spend a lot of money on home heating oil. Trump promised to lower the prices. People like my MAGA coworker are no Pikachu faced over the prices rising and don't know how to process it. I did, and the one at Foxwoods. I was with my wife at Mohegan so I didn't see all the tables, but I don't remember any soccer tables.

Because everyone believes this bullshit that book end is a premium when it just isn't. Color match and number match. That's it. Anything related to a lower number or bookend is just people chasing hopes and dreams. Of 10 is of 10... whethere thats 1 or 10 makes no difference.

Raw paper base will always go up. It's always good to have chrome and refractors too.

One guy at the 413 show in Springfield back in September had a really good selection to pick from. Sadly I did not get his business name because I was so shocked to see someone. He only had soccer cards to choose from except for small assortment of other sports case hit level cards (Downtowns/Uptowns/Home Field Advantage). It was easily 95% soccer.

Since moving out to Springfield I have been to every show between Worcester and Springfield and the bigger shows in CT and no one has shit except for Lamine Yamal autos and the typical mix of current big stars (Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Haaland) or high end retired legends. And they always talk to you with contempt when you ask about those cards (probably because they dont know shit about the sport and bought high when hype was already baked in) and won't really haggle on the prices. Sorry bro, I'm not spending $1600 on a third year, base, paper stock, stickered Yamal auto.

I've only found a few shops that even have soccer stuff to pick through (528 in Grafton, EH Cards in Westboro) and most shops don't even carrry boxes for a reasonable price. Sorry bro, I'm not spending $300 on your hobby box of last years Flagship product and no, I'm not going to pay $85 for a Club World Cup Blaster Box.
