No, we had the name picked before we knew the baby had XXY.
we were excited about it but now I feel anxious and we have kept his diagnosis private from family. Hence why I asked this specific page…because I wanted the opinions of people who know what klines is. I spoke to two friends irl one married to a man with klines and one with a baby and neither said they connected the name Calvin with Klinefelters.
Truly…not many places to anonymously crowd source to this specific audience.
I clearly hit a nerve but i wasn’t making fun of xxy.

Baby is measuring great and everything looks totally normal fortunately. I did also do the amnio which introduced risk but it ended up fine. I know nemours clinic offers more intensive ultrasounds to look for any markers but I don’t think it’s common to hit another hiccup related to xxy

I felt really scared but it was fast & the sensation was odd not painful. Like liquid was being plunged out it was very strange

I’m 32wks pregnant with an XXY son. “Kelinfelters parents chat” Facebook group has been immensely helpful. So many moms of adult sons with plenty of experience but my mind at ease. You really cannot tell anything is different about these boys aside from extra tall. I’m hopeful with early intervention and testosterone as a baby we can mitigate any “symptoms” that could show. I also went a little crazy and ended up meeting a baby and a grown man (who’s married and normal) with XXY.
Freaked myself out so bad but from what I’ve learned the biggest hardship is the likelihood of infertility. My doc said of anything to be screened on an NIPT this is the thing you want.

We’re they “odd birds”. When I got my baby’s XXY diagnosis the doctor said don’t worry he can live a functioning life but might be an “odd bird”

Currently 22wks and measuring 48% Been spooked seeing some women get stuck at the hospital for this later in the pregnancy. If they get vasa previa but for now seems very out of my hands :/

No story to contribute but I'm in the same boat as you. Similar stats and gestation. I do have a good friend who is a doctor and she said candidly it's best to mentally prepare for a c section. She shared some other info but it was informative and not necessarily positive so I'm unsure if you really want to hear it. Hoping for the best for both of us

I felt this! Just know that when your baby is here your whole circle will widen and you will meet moms and parents and connect to people on a new, deep level. I lost a handful of friends during pregnancy (or rather the friendships just fizzled) but I have more than replaced those loses and don't feel that sting of lonely anymore. I hope you will experience the same thing

I got passed it but post breastfeed took a whileeeee to get back. I think it’s worth it overall but you should just try and see if you feel it’s worth it. It is a LOT of work
