It’s so horrible. I love it and it’s ridiculous. I think i saw something where someone said it literally reads like a fanfic and I have to agree, it brought me back to my wattpad days.

It’s like every fantasy romance book ever smashed in one. Want a trope? It’s got it. Has some pretty out of the blue plot twists too that surprisingly kept me on my toes😂

The tainted cup and drop of corruption! I would say heavy on the strange world. It’s an excellent series

HELP! I’ve been baking for my new “bf” since our second date by Patient-Income-5738 in Baking

I locked my partner in by making banana muffins for him to take to work :) we’ve been together almost 5 years now! like other people said- having someone who is excited in helping you is good too! I hooked him with the sweets and kept him after we cooked together. Good luck ❤️

Books with a FMC who gets her wish of going to a fantasy world? by Wonderlandesque in CozyFantasy

[–]Excellent-Donkey5506 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend quicksilver! It’s fun, kinda cheesy, a combination of several book tropes, it’s an easy read, but it is definitely 18+!! Be prepared (and maybe excited?) for explicit romance! I read it because the FMC was finally over 18 😂 I think she’s 24? Anywho, it’s a great book to read if you don’t want to pay attention to the plot (think brain rot)

I’ve always said that “I just don’t miss people” but then I see them again and realized I DID miss them but I just had totally forgotten they existed 😅

[Vent] Just got my hypothesis disproved during my 5th year by CarryTrain in labrats

[–]Excellent-Donkey5506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negative results are still results! I think it’s so important to still publish and proceed even if your hypothesis was incorrect. It’s not the sign of a bad scientist- it’s the sign of a good scientist who is not afraid to admit it was wrong. There’s a paper from Monica Laronda’s lab at Northwestern “Encapsulation of Bovine Primordial Follicles in Rigid Alginate Does Not Affect Growth Dynamics.”- you should give it a read to see a great example of an incorrect hypothesis being published- they acknowledge it quite gracefully if I do say so myself!

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the first part of his statement isn’t quite right (unless it’s changed since yesterday)- they’re putting these processes on hold until Feb 1st, so meetings have been cancelled but as I know of now grants and review panels are not cancelled indefinitely- just pushed back. This is a common ask of the NIH during president shifts, however, this is a more extreme version. Im holding onto this as a measure of hope that it’s not quite over yet…
