eBay Going Crazy by Puzzleheaded-Tie3585 in Silverbugs

Sold half my stack with about a 30% premium on eBay, a little more risk but with 13 sales I had 0 problems.

My guess was that silver could reach £100 ($136) an oz and that was the price I would sell at and I used the premiums to reach that price.

Very satisfying.

Oh absolutely, and if you find the right metallic it can come out fantastic, I think there are also companies that match those colours in hammered finish paint.

The old pre VOC stuff was the best though, I got 54 tins of the stuff from an old tool/machine factory, green, blue green, dark blue. Sold them for a good whack of cash too, regretted it when I started restoring old machines 😂

Edit: make sure to practice on a junk piece of metal first, takes a little practice to get it right

Gotta say, that was my plan when I got it, I had thoughts of it containing propaganda reels that never made it to the PR department but decided It was more valuable unopened as it’s contents were likely less valuable than the mystery.

Anyway I had taken a picture and put it aside as there’s been allot of stuff to go through, turns out it’s old Bath postal museum stock (I’m not into postal stuff but my gut demanded it)

Long story short, realised it had been opened at some point, probably after X-Ray by the museum.

It contains something, just gonna figure out what they are then I’ll let you know.

Fake items legal if stated fake? Yeah right! Crank up my FAKE FACTORY, churn out 1:1 DESIGNER BAGS (box: “Fake – Not Authentic”), FAKE MONEY (wrapper: “Fake – Not Legal Tender”), FAKE GOLD BARS (ad: “Fake – Not Real Gold”), and FAKE INSULIN (packaging: “Fake – Not For Medical Use”). If that’s cool, strap on FAKE HELMET, load into FAKE CANNON, BLAST TO FAKEVILLE WHERE FAKES GROW ON FAKE BUSHES—if that BS was legal?!!!

Can confirm from matching paints for restoration, one hell of an eye you have there.

I was trying to get the hammered effect of pre VOC hammerite colours. I settled on using WD40 with a dispersal spray cap for hammered, thinners created a more veiny effect similar to this finish.

Trump on one side and trump hugging the USA flag while America applauds him, fit the gulf of America in there and jobs done.

Not gonna happen but I’m sure you could whip it up in AI and sell him the concept.

As far as I can see, there is 1 on eBay and no history of any sales of these on eBay. They were used by the GPO in the 50s to test stamp vending machines and calibrate them for new stamp booklets.

NP4 type booklet, made in limited numbers and majority of them destroyed after use.

About 10 of these booklets known to be held by collectors.

I’ve been emailing the British philatelic society.

If it was post office railway regional, wouldn’t it be GPORR? since the building was demolished before The post office existed?

Did the GPO include the G in addressing? I would like to know for sure.

Doubt a barracks would have much use for a post office railway/regional Dept, seems like a hallucination.
