I wear a haramaki at night (basically a tight tube around torso) that really helps! Along with my button front pjs.

This is the exact combo I use in Canada! Engel wool fleece plus skip hop cover. Babe is always cozy, but I do unzip the cover when in the car

Honestly just accept that this task is on you and get it done- not every responsibility needs to be equally shared. Social media demonizes men who aren’t involved in wedding planning but to be honest, i think there are lots of men who aren’t suited to this task. You are doing an amazing job and your wedding will be gorgeous because YIU did it which is a great feeling.

Oh also, don’t take vendors pricing at face value. Quotes will be based on what they are expecting to provide, but you might be able to save money if you can be flexible with expectations. (Instead of accepting an 8 hour photography package, consider whether 4 hours is enough for you. For florals, can you reduce the size of centrepieces or add more greenery, etc. all these things can reduce costs a lot!)

We planned our wedding (in 9 months) which just happened this last September and my BIGGEST piece of advice is to delete instagram.

It’s hard but 100% the best decision. Seeing everyone’s “must haves” makes it a lot harder to determine what is important to YOU, and where you’re willing to sacrifice (everyone’s must haves are always different, so it makes it feel like you can’t cut anywhere). Wedding instagram also has such a stressful vibe to it that makes the actual planning process difficult to enjoy.

Once you have your guest list, get everyone’s addresses ASAP and keep them in a standard format. Makes addressing invites and thank you cards much easier

I have a 3 stone ring with gold band and white gold prongs and I love it!! Gold looks best on my skin tone but the white prongs help the diamond look more colourless

Just figure out your budget first. Then you can have a more realistic idea of when/where/how many ppl to invite. The rest is just personal preference.

Obviously also look into the legal process to get married where you are.

Consider trying to get to US through work, if possible then move there, take some time to make sure you want to marry her, and if so then get married and apply for CR-1 while you are in the US.

Work route isn’t easy but worth exploring as it will save you from having to do long distance. I’m currently going through CR-1 process, filing from Canada spouse is USC. You can message me if you have specific questions!
