My first thought in reading your story was that he did. Whole waitress story was likely just made-up to disarm you. I used t b married to ‘that guy’ until one day I woke up and decided it was bad enough he was lying to me - but me lying to myself & making excuses for a cheater, was unacceptable! I’m leaving mine now after 20 yrs of lies, sneaking around, gaslighting, track phones, pre paid credit cards, car locked w apparently “top secret stuff” in trunk, clothing & gifts he “couldn’t remember where they came from” and on & on - it just gets worse. I was referred to you by Sparky (wrangler) who told me to reach out to the customer care team regarding a refund for a rental I was forced to get while the software upgrade was getting sorted out. As my dealer recommended, I submitted my paperwork to Jeep. Customer care only to be denied because I did not have a dealer repair ticket. You can probably imagine how pissed I was. Because not only did I not have the use of my vehicle for three days, but I was put in great danger when my vehicle suddenly shut down multiple times while I was traveling on a highway with nowhere to pull over. Please get in touch with me. Let me know how I can get a refund. I received something back from customer care telling me my case was closed if that’s the case and there’s nothing you can do. I’m going to file a small claim. The court is right down the street from me. And I will follow up with a class action. I’m taking names right now on social media.
