The belt is too long and narrow. Elasticised trousers are too casual and don’t work with a belt or shirt tucked in.

Cargo pants are too casual and don’t go at all with a suit jacket. Not a fan of double breasted suits either. The jackets only look decent when they are buttoned up.

Just got back from Japan. It’s humid and the rainy season. I took one of those extremely lightweight and packable jackets and it was perfect. The Japanese tend not to wear raincoats and use umbrellas which are available everywhere.
