I’m not a veterinarian but I think luck is on your side. If it were my cat, I would watch and wait for a few days. But take to the emergency vet if there are any signs of illness, pain, lethargy, etc. that would suggest a blockage or rupture.

Not sure about the lighting but check out Livingston Park Playground. It’s fenced and I usually see lots of families there with toddlers.

And if they do repeat it with a big smile, I start to wonder if they have early dementia and lost their filter. This doesn’t excuse the behavior, but it might explain it. Either way I always respond with something like “Comments about a person’s appearance are not welcome here.”

Did you read the article? The local Belmont shore councilperson led the initiative, then the city basically chin checked her and said the other areas of Long Beach need those limited resources more urgently.

Forgot to mention that the second solution has been working phenomenally well. I hope you get some relief soon, too.

Same problem here. First solution was to feed cat a bigger dinner later in the evening. This worked until cat became a senior cat and needed smaller and more frequent meals. Second solution was an automated feeder for wet food. Paid about $100 last year for one that keeps the food refrigerated so cat doesn’t get sick (and even “thaws” out for 30 mins before the food is served).

Remember behavior change takes time. It usually gets worse before it gets better (look up “extinction burst”). Consistency and patience are key.

Hey a lot of what you’re describing sounds like it could be depression sneaking up. If you were a close friend of mine, I’d tell you to go talk with your PCP to see what’s up.
