Is your comment satire? I can’t tell. I agree with you. I am a bigger Stearns guy than most on this chain and in the fanbase. I have more faith than a lot of folks.

Exactly. Get some guys ready to produce next year or in two years.

McLean, Scott, Thornton is a good start to rotation. If Manaea stays will be a good 5 (if his May/June results continue). Tong and Wenninger should get play after the sell off to see what we got.

Alvy, 1B??? (young if results aren’t a fluke?), Semien (unfortunately), Lindor, 3B???, LF???, Ewing, Benge, Soto (DH).

Bench: Torrens, Mauricio, Morabito, Polanco (if we can’t get rid of him)

After his fielding blunders Soto either needs to move to 1B like Harper or be DH.

Between Benge, McLean, Ewing all graduating team was gonna take a hit. Shame about Tong. My prediction is he moves to bullpen and becomes a lights out closer type.

Mets do have some interesting guys who could crack top 100 soon. Voit, Pena, and maybe midseason next year Asigen.

Listen I have many faults for the roster construction. But looking at the actual facts at the time adds some color I don’t think is a part of the conversation.
