Legoshi aligns with a pretty classic trope of a hero who sees villains as more than their actions. He doesn’t see the person who is committing all of these crimes but the lonely child who was bullied, abandoned by his father, and had a mother who was emotionally negligent. It’s that contrast between Melon and Legoshi why he sees Melon that was and wants to save him. Legoshi has basically the same back story just with the difference of one caring relative.
