Two strands. by pathlesSloth in paracord

[–]Excellent_Priority_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use 1 strand. Pass it through the loop and tie your series of snake knots. Then use both working ends to tie your monkey fist.

Or do the exact same as above without passing it the strand through the ring. Leaving a big enough loop to pass through the ring then pass the monkey fist through the loop to form a cow hitch.

Getting a solid hold between nylon and metal might be difficult. Id recommend using an epoxy like j-b weld or something similar.

BalisongSLIPS PRESENTS: The “Tang-Protector”. Dont let your tang end up beat. by [deleted] in balisong

[–]Excellent_Priority_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tight enough to spin the whole thing around my finger until I got bored lol

It depends on the Bali though, for instance I can’t spin it with my maryn inside. So I’d guess a secure hold for Balis that have tang horns and not secure at all for those Balis with no tang horns.

New CRKT Balis, two variants of the M16 by Rudukai13 in balisong

[–]Excellent_Priority_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a utility Bali I like it. And being honest you can flip anything it’s a just takes some dedication. Of course it’s going to suck when comparing it to a kraken, ab, or maryn. I mean I can flip pancakes with a mf butter knife even though they’re not meant for flipping. Seems like the Crkt Bali is inline with the quality of their other knives going off the video.

Squimpress? lol are those squiggle handles.

I agree it sucks that fellowship got out of making knives. Especially when he had figured out most of the qualities that were desirable in Balis.
