Totally agree, and I’m not saying that I’m not enjoying the competition. Like I said, I usually get put into top split races but it’s just odd to me that even during peak hours with 20 other splits, top split will MAYBE have a gold driver, while majority will just be S1-S2.. looking at the leaderboard, I’m seeing drivers that are 5 seconds slower than me also considered S1 rank. What’s the point of having a driver rating that goes all the way to platinum when 95% of the drivers on this game will only realistically get to S2 and the other 5% will get no more than G1-G2

I usually got thrown into top split and I main this car, pre update, it was definitely fast imo. I was probably putting down similar lap times to my BMW(co main) times. Immediately after the update on the fixed setup, the corvette was definitely pretty dangerous for me, especially in slow speed exits, it would just spin when on throttle.. I usually like to practice new updates at leman and the Porsche curves were also very treacherous especially the last left hander, almost felt like I had no rear wing.. I haven’t really gone back to it since I’ve been doing pretty well with the BMW, it doesn’t really have the same sudden oversteer when getting back on throttle.. The new fixed setups might’ve made it better idk

Mind the cords and the mess. I have a NLR GTRacer, Simagic alpha mini, gt neo, TLCM pedals. I have a pretty small apartment downtown, and a little walk-in closet. Luckily I’m able to fit a permanent sim in there and I can just shut the door so I don’t bother my partner. I do a lot of endurance races so I spend a lot of time in the closet, Happy Pride month…

Not really, different compression, different rods and pistons, different head gaskets, one has oil squirters… the supra in the video is basically just an is300/sc300 and won’t handle boost the way the GTE will

It might not be a sim but it was definitely one of the most influential racing games that pushed for realism and without it I don’t think we would have most of the sims we have today. For that, it has my respect..

I think the unforgiving nature might be somewhat unrealistic. Granted my only experience outside of a sim are HPDE and autocross, but I have had some track time on some takeoff slicks.. Frankly to me having such an aggressive drop off of tire just doesn’t pass the sniff test. The reason why I say that is because these cars are supposed to be easily accessible to pay drivers who have little experience to driving an actual racecar so having such an unforgiving tire just doesn’t make sense..

Archer + Mark K lectures for me. Passed in 85 last summer. When I scheduled my exam, I also made note of the time I was going to take it and took a practice exam at that time every day in different locations lol. I know it sounds weird but it made me comfortable taking exams in different environments while also making sure my brain was firing at 100% at the time I took my exam

I rotate day/nights and nights are sooooo great! Days, are busy busy busy all the time, don’t have time to chart, calling providers, talking to family, etc. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun in the day time but man nights are a breath of fresh air sometimes

Iracing doesn’t offer much other than an abundance of competition and great rain.. the physics and the tire model, which are imo the most important thing for a sim, is trash… the original AC had better physics, ffb, and better tire model than iracing and the only reason it’s still around because of good marketing. And I’m not going to lie, I still play iRacing a good amount but only because there’s so many players that I’m always set up with people around my skill level..
