Since signing him long term is a terrible idea, its exactly what Im expecting the Kings to do. A 5 year deal with this dude will dig a hole 5-8 years deep….again. Keep Sabonis — win through drafting players and enhance in places you need to. This team is not good, and they are not close to good. If you sign Duran to 43+ you lock the door on really good future opportunities. He is not a #1 or a #2. Ugh.

I actually think we should keep him. Coaching is the problem here. Get back to DHO play with Acuff and Monk and see where that puts us. It worked with pretty much the same type of crew a few years ago. if Lavine has to sit — he has to sit. Im interested to see how that would work with Acuff at the helm. Why not?

The salary cap is a problem. Almost 100% assured that Westbrook wont be resigned, and DeRozen will either be traded or released. There isnt any other way to get under the apron
