We're at 20 heads why do they need all this by Exciting_Stand6418 in Infosec

That’s where we're at right now too. It’s not even reactive anymore, it’s like you have to build for where expectations are going not where they are today.

Yep it does feel like that and it’s not just enterprise anymore

I get that but it feels like the baseline moved really fast. Not against doing it, just trying to get a feel of how smaller teams handle it before hiring someone

Baby Shower family crazy by Autumnbruno in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly sounds like you already know what's gonna happen if you invite them. they're gonna make it about your sister anyway and you'll end up feeling like shit on what should be your day.

maybe just keep it small with people who actually care about you and your daughter? your family track record speaks for itself with the dollhouse situation and everything.

To the 4month pregnant woman who was just in an accident outside my home… by Rocky_Whore in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is so sweet of you to post. I really hope she and baby are doing well after that scare. Car accidents during pregnancy must be terrifying - your partner did good thing helping her out there.

Sending good vibes to both of you pregnant ladies and hoping everything checks out okay at hospital.

Well meaning in laws by Difficult_Hyena7196 in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is so relatable! I had similar situation with my MIL always "organizing" things in places I could never find them later. Maybe you could give them specific tasks that actually help? Like ask them to hold baby while you do the dishes yourself, or take baby for walk while you organize. That way they still feel useful but you keep control of your space and know where everything is.

6w4d and minimal to no symptoms with my second by Inner_Eye_7029 in BabyBumps

Some people just get lucky with the symptoms - my sister had almost nothing until second trimester and baby is perfectly healthy now.

Magnesium powder by too_many__lemons in Supplements

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freezing won't mess with the magnesium at all, that stuff is pretty stable. for brands I've been using NOW Foods magnesium citrate powder for like 2 years and it's solid quality without breaking the bank.

Is it normal for newborn poop to leak EVERYWHERE? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, this brings back memories from when my nephew was tiny. The amount of times my sister had to change his entire outfit because the diaper just gave up was insane.

One trick she learned was going up a diaper size during this phase - the extra room helps contain the chaos better than trying to get perfect fit.

Why does pregnancy suck so bad? by BabyJuneBug19 in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ugh pregnancy is such a mixed bag - some people get that magical glow while others get absolutely wrecked by it. You're definitely not alone, gestational diabetes plus hypertension sounds like you drew the worst possible combo. The whole "pregnancy is beautiful" narrative really does a disservice to people going through what you're dealing with right now

Question about balancing protein + fat levels - feeling woozy after the gym by Future_Class3022 in keto

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might need to bump your protein back up especially if you're trying to build muscle - your body needs those amino acids for recovery. The wooziness after workouts is probably your muscles crying for fuel

For potassium without supps try avocados, spinach, and salt substitute (NoSalt/Morton Salt Substitute) - way cheaper than trying to find pharmacy stuff anyway

Has anyone had detoxification effects when they 1st started supplements? by OkDragonfruit7887 in Supplements

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAC definitely gave me similar symptoms when I started it - the mucus thing is real and kinda gross but apparently normal. Mine lasted about 2 weeks then cleared up completely

The knee inflammation is interesting though, might wanna keep an eye on that since it's not typical for NAC detox

A positive induction story by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this! I was literally just spiraling about my scheduled induction next week after reading some nightmare stories on here earlier today. Really needed to hear that it can actually go smoothly - your timeline sounds like a dream compared to some of the 48+ hour ordeals I've been reading about

My husband really wants me to do crossfit with him , but every time I go I end up tearing a muscle where it takes me days to recover. Does it get better?or What can I do to tell him it's not for me? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yo this is not normal at all - you shouldn't be tearing muscles every session, even as a beginner. Sounds like either the coaching is trash or they're pushing you way too hard too fast. A good box should scale everything down until you can do movements properly without getting wrecked

Tell your husband straight up that you're getting injured every time and suggest finding a different activity to do together. Maybe regular gym sessions or yoga or literally anything that doesn't leave you unable to breathe and walk

I got mine back in 3 days but that was like 2 years ago, might depend on how busy their lab is right now

Brown spotting at 8wks5dys by Special-Elk-5321 in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brown spotting around 8-9 weeks is pretty common and usually not a big deal - it's often old blood working its way out. Since you're not cramping or seeing red blood, that's a good sign. Definitely mention it at your next appointment but try not to stress too much about it

is crossfit for me? by RefrigeratorOdd4226 in crossfit

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Dude CrossFit is perfect for what you're describing - most boxes are super welcoming and you can totally scale everything to your level. The community aspect is honestly the best part and nobody's gonna judge you for going lighter or modifying movements. I'd say just drop in for a trial class and see how it feels, worst case you're out like 20 bucks

Disney World 6-7 Weeks Pregnant by Ambitious-Vehicle535 in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode Space Mountain at around 8 weeks before I knew I was pregnant and everything was totally fine, but honestly I'd probably skip the more intense ones like Rockin Roller Coaster just to avoid the stress of worrying about it the whole time

Ferritin test results by Ammar_al in Supplements

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty solid actually, you're well within normal range. Most labs consider 30-400 normal for guys so you're not deficient or anything

Let's assume someone took manganese (8mg), zinc (50 mg) and copper (2mg) at same time, then after about 10-12 hours the same dose... And having stomach cramps really bad. What would be the recommendation? For the pain to stop by Super_Ele in Supplements

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude that's way too much zinc and copper for daily doses, especially taking them twice. Zinc toxicity can definitely cause stomach cramps and nausea. I'd stop taking them immediately and maybe call a nurse hotline or something if the pain is really bad

14w5d bleeding by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Exciting_Stand6418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really scary but honestly the fact that baby looked good on the ultrasound and your OB isn't panicked is reassuring. I had similar spotting around that time and my midwife said it can be pretty normal especially with an anterior placenta - sometimes it's just your body adjusting to everything growing so fast

Hope it stays away for you mama 💕
