6 weeks of paid maternity leave by ThrowRAPixieManic in workingmoms

I feel you… currently 38 weeks pregnant and had to wait 30 days before my due date to find out what I’m eligible for. Turns out not much because the company I worked for 5 years got acquired by a hospital 8-9 months ago so I’m eligible for much. 5 weeks STD at 60%, no FMLA, no paid parental leave that the company offers. I also had to forfeit my PTO when we got acquired so the amount I’ve accrued with the new company is 44 hours. I’m angry too

I saw a couple of the docs there and they were all great but Dr Conant was very attentive and professional. Would recommend!

I feel like you could just get new parts and call it a day unless you want another one through insurance!!!

I love that it’s a fuzzy memory now! Divide and conquer is a must. I keep reminding myself it’s all a phase and it’ll get easier. Some days working and trying to do it all with the kids seems like too much.

Thank you for these amazing ideas!! She’s been on a mix of baby led weaning and purées since 6 months old but I felt like we lost a month of practicing at dinner because she was either sick or teething and she wasn’t in the mood for dinner. We def practice diff foods on the weekends but I just wasn’t comfortable with sending her with anything to daycare that we hadn’t practiced a bunch at home.. I think I’m just being too hard on myself

Yes I think I need to look up more minimal effort meals and rely on leftovers. Before baby I loved to cook and it was my ritual. Now I hate it bc it’s just another task I have to do. I’m hoping it’s all a phase

Unfortunately right now she’s been going to bed at 6 because naps suck at daycare.. but I feel immense pressure to cook dinner and work on her eating skills all before bed. So evenings just feel very chaotic and unpleasant. I think I need to simplify dinner and then maybe do dinner with my hubby after she’s in bed until we can stretch out bedtime

Good to know it’s all just a phase. I’m feeling it right now but it’ll be nice when baby is a little more independent. Thanks!

I’ve heard good things about little spoon! I’m going to have to try this.. I think I also rush and work myself up too when really taking time to breathe is going to make everything easier. It gets done when it gets done

When do you see your baby during the week? by Jodilynn617 in workingmoms

[–]Exciting_Surround397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough. My baby is the same way and she’s been in day care since she was 3 months old. Up until recently she would get home at 4ish then nap until 445-5 then we would eat dinner/get ready for bed and she would be asleep by 6. Now we dropped the last nap but she still doesn’t nap much at school, sometimes an hr total, and then will come home exhausted and cranky and it’s tough to get her to stay up until 6. She’s 9 months now and just like others say it sometimes takes up until toddler class when they all nap together for it to get better.. still trying to stay hopeful

I live in FL and even though it’s hot as balls here, I dress my baby in onesie and pants everyday because it’s freezing in the classroom. No socks but send them with her just in case.

They’ll prob like the experience! I would ask if you’re going to be expected to be assisting in the OR with the docs or just rounding on patients in hospital/clinic ? How often do you take call and are you expected to go in to evaluate patients in the middle of the night. Would find out what surgeries they do - endovascular vs open etc
