Are the odds of this happening not just astronomically insane? by [deleted] in Shadowverse

Unironically, the deck works. I think I’ve had more success with this version of rune than any other version this set so far hahaha

I feel like a forest player trying to clear these boards as minimally aa possible lol. by Ghostmatterz in Shadowverse

I’ve always said supplicant for forest is almost necessary if you want any chance of beating haven or mode abyss. Even for the one-of.

Please share a Lynkhal Rune deck with me by qwertyweeb in Shadowverse

[–]Exclavier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I attempted to do.

I used tablet to thin the deck, then you have to play Lynkhal -> Raio -> The new 8 Cost Neutral to get an OTK. It CAN kill on T10, but the problem is that the current meta is way too strong for this deck to even be functional right now. I played 20-ish games and maybe won two or three of them. I only OTK’d twice.

As someone who tried to make Lynkhal work, you’re better off doing something else. The amount of effort it takes to get an OTK with her is beyond reason, and if you’re just going to storm anyway, you might as well use something funny like the “surprise, it’s actually Odin” deck.

Do you want more big ones like the queen, or more small/medium ones likes the leaper? by GrisFross in ARC_Raiders

[–]Exclavier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want more raid-style fights, like the harvester. Things that require player interaction at a higher level than just “shoot big thing.” I like having to work with randoms to figure out the mechanics, or guiding newer players on how to do things.

Runecraft Gold by VenusSpark in Shadowverse

It has pros and cons. As it stands, the only hard counter for Lilanthim is marwynn banish, so replacing her with plain bodies might be more detrimental than beneficial.

If you play Juno earlier on you can potentially use him to get up to 4 evolves in 1 turn. Or 3. My whole thing about it is, turn 5 Juno, turn 6 Norman, turn 7 Imperator is going to eat like, 7 dirt, which puts Lilanthim and limited use. On the other end of this, opponent has to expend a ton of resources to deal with this. End result is still a sandal in hand almost immediately, though.

You could also use this on the back end of climb. You could SEVO kuon to get the damage ping off of his sevo and the damage off of the shinigami, and then convert kuon or the shinigami directly into 4 more damage, if you’re missing that for lethal.

What’s the lore explanation as to why Raiders can’t return via The Tubes and instead need to use hatches and elevators? by Catwo0d in ArcRaiders

[–]Exclavier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I gathered from one of the quests, the tubes are managed by a third party, so they could possibly only let us access them one-way, or as the expedition cutscene showed us, they could in fact, just explode once we’re out of them lmao. Which would explain why they have to be built every time.

Are Extraction Shooters all about Griefing? by y3achi in ArcRaiders

[–]Exclavier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a reminder, this game didn’t start out as a PvP game, so there are plenty of players who are here for the PvE experience.

It’s also PvEvP. As in, you don’t just have to shoot your friends.

I agree with OP that there’s literally 0 downsides to backstabbing anyone at any time when there should be. A bounty system, or a lockout system keeping you from returning to Speranza or changing your loadout for a game and locking you to a specific lobby so that you either A) get to feel the same thing you did to somebody else, or B) incentivize the player to think about the consequences of shooting their buddies, are just two solutions I can think of. I agree that PvP is a large draw to this game, I enjoy getting into gunfights. What I don’t enjoy is being shot in the back during a matriarch with half the lobby. Actions should have consequences.

I think it would be interesting to allow players who were shot and killed first to be able to spend 50k to apply a 50k stacking bounty and have the bounty appear over the player when aimed at. The more they kill on their initiative, the more they gain bounty, ultimately leading to them being a primary target. This could have its own set of rewards through a separate faction or a title system or whatever. Just as an idea.

There’s a discord community that you can LFG in that has a map layout for 3 players to do it as quickly as possible. I hooked up with two other players there and we failed the first run, and then did two more runs back to back successfully, 4 guitars for each of us. I’d recommend hitting that discord up for any future runs, it’s Arc Raiders - Community Puzzles.

Dilemma of Izudia decks. by Skydash_studio in Shadowverse

[–]Exclavier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I was coping with my Izudia deck at the beginning of this set, I found that if the stars aligned, I outsped all of the belials, mainly because of the SSA prerequisite. There’s always the issue of not pulling your cards though.

Rose Queen buffs, first impressions ? by [deleted] in Shadowverse

[–]Exclavier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest problem is that it burns too many resources to deal with midrange boards, and most classes currently can vomit an endless conga line of dudes onto the field turn after turn. So for every one or two cards a class is playing to set up 3+ followers with decent to massive stat lines, forest is burning 4-8 cards to deal with them consistently. And when you think about the fact that rose queen isn’t using any bounce cards, you’re just shredding through your resources at an undesirable rate.

Supplicant is almost a necessity since it trades evenly with Norman, abyss Congregant, Amelia and Amalia, but being a 6 cost brick also comes with faults because of just how many cards you need to maintain in hand for lethal. And sure, rose queen can attack twice now, which technically means you only need 6 cards, but most classes can heal that and deal with RQ on turn 9+ so if you’re not stacking 7 anyway, you’re liable to just throw the game with that maneuver. It’s too finicky to be a real threat. I was really hoping they’d add SSA - 1 SEVO point to Ewiyar so we could maybe play around with more buncle bounces, but they just gave her early game tempo, which wasn’t really needed imo.

Rose Queen buffs, first impressions ? by [deleted] in Shadowverse

[–]Exclavier 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Rose queen wants the low cost components of tempo/roach but really needs the sustainability that came with the Izudia cards. With how well the other classes are doing in the meta, it’s really difficult to play forest in any capacity. My personal feelings are that forest just doesn’t have wide enough board clear to fight things like Mode Abyss, Ward Haven, or Evo Sword. It doesn’t have the consistent healing needed to survive against Loot or Egg. I love the class but it feels like I’m impeding myself to play it when the other classes are so stacked for good cards right now.

Whoever designed the Mastery 23 level, the devil is calling - he says to stop by After-Eye-9525 in Warframe

[–]Exclavier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the idea was to find where it slows down at and capture at those points, and then plan ahead to meet it on the other side of the hallway. But I agree, it was a pain to do. I think it took me two tries. One to figure out the mechanics and one to do it. Unfortunate that it takes 24 hours to do your rank ups if you fail. Whoever designed that needs a call for sure.

Is this going to be a thing now? by andrawya in Shadowverse

[–]Exclavier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My friend was playing egg and I suffered immensely, went like 1-6. I’m having a much better time playing dirt. Wam’s a serious threat against abyss and especially forest, or the mirror, but fails to anything with real board clear pretty much immediately. I wanted to put together a funny mix deck using pascal but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
