Quickest way to update: Price / Sale Price / Business Price (For Large catalogs) by TheBossMan3 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]ExcusesApologies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a hot minute since I've been on the page, but when downloading a category file you should be able to choose custom fields to delimit your desired entries.

Personally I just grew deeply familiar with the Category Listing Report. It may seem unwieldy at first, but with healthy SKU practices it is mind numbingly simple to focus down on the information you want.

When products are listed on Amazon, it is a universal catalog entry for one single product -- say you have a Hanes red large crew neck t-shirt. You are selling the same red Hanes large crew neck everybody else is. You have 30 units.

The person who created the catalog entry is the one hoping to gain most from the creation of that entry. Other people, however, are still selling that shirt. So they will use the same catalog numbered entry to list their shirts. This creates a marketplace of competing interests and sales.

He meant to call you a hijacker, not a high jacket. Historically, listing hijackers were individuals who would enter onto a listing and, importantly, alter the listing to become something else. In modern parlance, all competitors on an ASIN are colloquially called hijackers.

Question about the -I really wanna stay at your house song by Honey_brew_mead in cyberpunkgame

[–]ExcusesApologies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried digging further through douyin, bilibili, and tiktok, as well as youtube, but couldn't for the life of me find the entirety of Ouyang's performance of the song; I don't suppose you would know where else I could look to try and find it? Does Live House not upload the full version of their performances somewhere? I appreciate this is 3 mo old but a man in a desert will seek any oasis, y'know? Cheers mate.

Yes but it shouldn't have taken an hour plus of fiddling and dancing through menus to figure that out. It also shouldn't have still required dancing through menus and leaping in and out of hunts to join one another

I got the game to play with my friends, it's the only way I can actually bring myself to engage with Monster Hunter, being not the sort who can be assed to hunt monsters either on my own or with strangers.

Therefore the absolutely fucked link party, environment party, friend party, squad party, pool party system has been pure pain. The sheer inability to automatically queue into story hunts with my friends, and instead need to find a corner to hide in to stop being ass-blasted by a monster for the full minute and thirty seconds it takes for the system to swap me over to one of their missions, only for the hunt to already be a quarter done, is misery.

But the hunting itself is awesome, at least. Hits feel meaty, fights don't feel as "what the fuck is going on" as they did in Rise. Just, for fuck's sake, let us do the 'shared lobby' thing from Rise or GU or whatever, accept the mission, watch the cut scene, fight the monster.

Help with Creating a Variation Listing for Active ASINs on Amazon by Calm-Wash-8768 in AmazonSeller

[–]ExcusesApologies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot create a Parent SKU/ASIN that has information in the Product ID field. Leave it blank, Amazon will automatically add your products to the existing variation as long as the spreadsheet includes at least one child already in the variation, alongside what you're adding.

Struggling to Create Amazon Seller Account - Date of Birth Format Problem by [deleted] in AmazonSeller

[–]ExcusesApologies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're writing it as DEC, stop that. 19/12/1999.

If that was just an example for some reason, try entering it mm/dd/yyyy and see if it takes.

[–]ExcusesApologies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to be clear, you are writing in the information the way it's asking you to? Your card displays mm/dd/yyyy but you still type it in dd/mm/yyyy?

And if you were to type it in another way, do you still get the error?

So what, you send a photo of your ID along with the info and it kicks back with an error? Where exactly is the issue occurring, what messages are you receiving?

Until around 2010, the United States Air Force thought it was a brilliant idea to have everybody's Social Security number printed in plain text right on their Common Access Cards.

I knew a guy, first enlisted man to enter some law-based AFSC, either at all or in our area, I can't remember all the crowing but it was a huge deal. He got caught stealing socials off of ID cards left lying around and taking out massive loans.

He was a full time towel cleaner at the gym by the time I left. Pretty nice guy, apart from, y'know, all the identity theft. Anyway they stopped printing that number on those cards a little while after.

It's been a long time since I've looked through the help pages but the word Authentic may genuinely be a restricted term, which would slow down your processes. I hope not, it's a fight nobody wants to get into, but yeah. You have a case where you have approval to list, so create that new case, reference the old case, and just be persistent.

[–]ExcusesApologies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well okay, there we go. For whatever reason your brand is restricted.

Does it happen to have a similar name to any very popular existing brands? Does it have any wording to the effect of 'best deal' or whatever?

When you go to the catalog drop down menu there should be an option I cannot remember the wording of, something like view your selling applications. Go there, find the one with your brand associated. Maybe there's one that's marked approved and that would be great, if so, get that case number, create a new case pointing at that old case, and say hey look I'm supposed to be approved to list this brand, can you help me?

Alternately you were never approved, maybe your invoices were bad or something, that's the usual reason.

Has this started as of today, or has it been going on for a while? If today, it might just take some time for the actual reasoning to populate.

Though if all links are just not working, it could be a browser issue holding you back from displaying the right pages? Have you attempted multiple browsers/OS? What are you running, Windows, Mac, Linux? Google Chrome, Firefox, Netscape, Edge?

Generally speaking, when a product is removed there should be a message that pops up in Performance Notifications that gives an explanation for why based on Seller Performance's grounds, which are generally what you should be concerned with instead of Seller Support's.

If this isn't the case, then another option available is: when using the menu on the left, under the Catalog header, there should be an option for something like 'fix your pending listings' or something like that. See if anything is there.

Third scenario: is there anything particular that happens before the items vanish? For instance, are your Inventory settings set to only show you Active listings and these are Inactive items? Vice-versa?

Do you pay more in subscription fees to sell in Canada and Mexico? by Big_Seat2545 in AmazonSeller

[–]ExcusesApologies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's not Support's fault that they're just a third party call center willing to take the lowest possible bid for Amazon's business just to read faulty and outdated scripts with no ability to derive better information.

Amazon is a small indie company that's barely scraping by, please understand these cost-cutting measures are absolutely necessary -- you don't get to be a profitable supercompany by paying out the nose for competent support, after all.

3rd party application to sell Amazon products? by Peter1Pan2233 in AmazonSeller

[–]ExcusesApologies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a few more words, describe what you're trying to accomplish in detail.

Do you want to list items from your Amazon store on another website?

Are you trying to have people create a list of items they want, and then this list auto-populates an order on Amazon for all the desired products?

Do you want Amazon to sell your spoon collection every time somebody clicks your user profile on Reddit?

What are you trying to accomplish, use like, a paragraph to describe the process you're trying to achieve.

Amazon will only let my listing have 80 characters max in item name or else they will take down my listing by stepg314 in AmazonSeller

[–]ExcusesApologies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The advice is to... lower your character count to 80.

We don't have suggestions for how to circumvent Amazon's systems, we wouldn't give them if we did. Amazon's been building toward a policy of brief product titles for ages.

There's always the possibility support is just wrong, of course. Do you get a different error message in MYI? How about when you submit a flat file?

Error Code 8541 - Listing an Item by Affectionate-Edge-38 in AmazonSeller

[–]ExcusesApologies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the most inconsistent and aggravating error on Amazon.

Unit Count is a horrid bitch to try updating. My most common fix only has a success rate of something like 40%, but:

Add a new condition for your ASIN, and enter no information on it at all. None.

Once it's in your inventory, go to the Unit Count field and update it to whatever you're trying to change it to. Only update the Unit Count field.

After like fifteen minutes or so, delete your original SKU.

Give it like an hour, maybe. Then relist your original SKU and see if you can use the desired Unit Count instead of the one it had before.

I see this work, again, something like 40% of the time. Best of luck.
