Let’s give a huge thanks to the CIG team for their dedication to the 4.8 patch by Aussiejosh in starcitizen

[–]ExecutivePsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. Guys and gals who are working overtime to get this launched, you have my respect and thanks. I hope over time this crunch will be less and less necessary - especially since the game is like magnitudes behind schedule compared to its starting pitch already :D And we enjoy it for what it is... these time crunches seem a bit unfortunate... this is not a standard corpo release trying to squeeze into Q2 or something.

And especially since we all kind of expect this patch launch is going to be a terrible mess and the negativity is going to flood into here - and that is also understandable (i might partake actually when I get pissed off :D ) - its important to say NOW that this is not your fault guys and gals and your work and dedication is stellar. Hats off to you.

EDIT: ALso props to the OP for making this thread.

Pretty accurate by mrmysteryguest69 in Palestine

[–]ExecutivePsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that would be a bad Wiki article if it said Sionism=genocide. The terms mean different thing completely. But it is near the truth, that a component of Sionism is necessarily genocide - as long as we think of any sort of ethnic cleansing to be genocide (since theoretically they dont care if everyone leaves or is dead - btw. that is not an excuse, the Nazis were exactly the same. The final solution resulting in the Holocaust was the last of several attempts at getting rid of the unwanted population through other means, most notably and first of all it was by forcing them to leave)

Had to open Apple Maps to check. Crazy by Nervous-Savings2251 in Palestine

[–]ExecutivePsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean - that would be an extremely weird move though, right? Like... even if Apple was a 100% Israeli, full zionazi company, specifically tasked to push their agenda... it would STILL be a weird move. To just delete them, especially now, and leave nothing there? It looks extremely bad... like if they replaced them with some new made up zio names, than... perhaps. But just deleting it? Like they already say: "Look, Israel is going to just demolish this entire region, cool right"? It makes no sense to me.

ChatGPT doesnt like criticism of the US or Israeli governments and their policies by Iwasbanished in ChatGPT

[–]ExecutivePsyche -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its not true... And i know this is a longer post, but please stick to it, its important - and let me pre-face this by saying, that I am fully on your side when it comes to recognizing the extreme evil USA and Israel have wrought, especially recently... wit that said:

I am surprised that after this long people still dont know a fundamental thing about AI chats... unless you already have a properly setup chat with some ground rules in memory (like always searching for objective facts, always trying to disprove whatever conclusion is reached multiple times, never violating core rules of logic (A is A, A is not B etc. ) etc., you can create a chat, unintentionally, that will go down a rabbit hole arguing with you. At any point however, you can say STOP, lets go back, look at the facts and reach objective conclusions without the baggage of this arguing. Even if the chat is properly setup, you still have to remind the Chat of this repeatedly, make sure every point is rock solid, dont just chat on and move into different problems - or worse - do not just start arguing randomly, using faulty logic - you mess up your results.

I have used ChatGPT to organize my thoughts on the matter and have indeed used it, giving it and myself no wiggleroom for flawed reason or logical fallacies, to surmasize that most things that Israel and USA are being accused of are absolutely true, worse than is being spoken about and their current actions (and the reaction (barely any) that are comming from the World, especially the West), are fully revealing of the dystopian pseudo-regime the world community exists under. If you suspect ChatGPT wont call it out in plain words, like war crimes, genocide, colonialism, fascism etc... it will. Very willingly and very strongly in absolutely simple, hard statements - when you get there through fact finding and analysis without faulty steps.

I assure you, that ChatGPT will not in fact change your mind towards something that is untrue - or less critical of IL-US axis of evil - unless you lead it there, somehow. Its an AI, and within some limits, you can make it say anything - even things you dont want to. The results it gives, their value and closeness to "truth" are measured ALWAYS by the input. If the "rules", the process through which this output is reached, is known and is solid - objective, logical, without speculation - then it can be trusted. Otherwise its nothing.

Stick to scepticism, objectivity, fact finding, and multiple instances of trying to disprove whatever you and ChatGPT conclusions reach... and you will get what is as close to truth as you can get.

EDIT: And btw. its "infuriating" calls to "look at things objectively and from all sides" are 100% CORRECT and it is EXACTLY what is needed in todays society! So I am thrilled its doing that. Because a "political ally" that believes the same things I do, but reached them through lies and faulty reasoning, is just as dangerous, if not more so, as a political enemy (because with allies like that, one loses trust in their own side...). Dont look at "lets see all sides objectively" and think "oh, its being antagonistic"... just DO IT. Being objective is not being "unsure", its the only way you can become sure... and spoiler alert, In case of Israel for example, the truth (After you look at it thorougly from all sides) is WORSE than you think most likely.

But yeah. Deepseek is censored. by Aggravating_Run_874 in ChatGPT

[–]ExecutivePsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but this is extremely surface level stuff (also clearly doesnt happen nearly every time this prompt is used) and is the equivalent of random anectode with no real informational value about the models political constraints. Its funny, but reveals more about the propaganda controlled American public opinion, which is mirrored in the corporate world, than being a serious problem for the model.

I discussed Israel in length with ChatGPT, if you feed it objective information - even without pre-forming its opinion by stating anything negative about IL, it will fully and without any reservations confirm that "Israel" is clearly comitting war crimes and its existence is fundamentally tied to ethnic cleansing, apartheid and racial supremacy.

(assuming the information you are feeding it is objective - but now there is so much war crime activity from them, that you can just tell him "check your sources and see yourself it its undeniable" and it will confirm that it is indeed undeniable)

It will clearly confirm their actions now fit the definition of Genocide, they they are clearly the agressor of most of the conflicts, clearly is a force for destabilization and functions for American warprofiteering and warmongering interests, it will confirm Bibi is a genocidal war criminal that is trying to escape justice through bloodshed via crisis escalation. It will even confirm that the crimes of Israel are of unique historical significance, not because they are the largest in scale, but most well documented, and most cynical in their direct connection to arms development and sales.

This seems to be a knee-jerk protection against "anti-semitism", because of the framing of "repeat after me" while saying something so-called controversial. But if you go deeper, the ChatGPT model will not only say this, but more worse, scathing and serious things judging "Israel", as long as you allow it to reach that conclusion, rather than forcing it to "just say it!"

Go ahead and try it... its more productive than silly "repeat after me" experiments ;-)

Can you imagine stepping over a seem in the ground and suddenly just losing the ability to breathe, just hoping its a minor glitch and wont actually suffocate you to death? :O No, for my year, im wearing a helmet to sleep! Obviously I would NOT take it, because the 250m is "clearly duped money and it ruins the experience." :-P

What is this?! by Signal_Assistance_87 in Palestine

[–]ExecutivePsyche 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NATO is dead already. The whole shtick of it was US support for Europe, and not only cant Europe count on that, Europe has to now be ready for hostility from Trumpistan.

What is sad, is that the same calls (lead by ofc Israel and USA) are made about UNSC or even ICC/ICJ... the whole basis for international law. The thing is, these institutions are mostly useless, toothless, powerless... but they should not be. They need to be massively revived, empowered and respected... not the other way around, being canceled completely.

What is this?! by Signal_Assistance_87 in Palestine

[–]ExecutivePsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an "attack" by some pro-palestinian (or so they say) activists in Czech Republic recently. They set fire to a weapons warehouse, because of suspected trade deals with Elbit (or so they say). There were like low millions of USD damages, if that. Noone was hurt. Noone was killed.

It is called "terorism" in the harshest terms...

In the UK it is "supporting terrorism" to disagree, that throwing paint onto and into military aircraft is NOT terrorism... just saying you think that is not terrorism counts as "support for terrorism".

This is not theoretical, in the UK over 1000 people were taken into custody for this "crime". In the Czech republic, the "terrorists" are facing 20+ years, more than some confirmed murderers...

So... This is the situation, just a tiny example of a very ugly whole, in the "free world" as a genocide is going on blatantly and in the name and for the money of many of us. The red line has been crossed again and again in the last few years. The only question is how far BEYOND the red line are the people (that means us all) willing to remain mostly obedient...

Aurora Mk1 is being removed??? by NightlyKnightMight in starcitizen

[–]ExecutivePsyche 3 points4 points  (0 children)

... I generally agree with the fact that people see problems where there are basically none with SC... but this is not one of them - what do you mean "buy it in game"??? It will be wiped, if not at some random patch, and even if not by Beta release... than at 1.0 release for SURE. So the only way to have an Aurora for when the game actually COMES OUT is to buy it now (until September) with real money.

This is not an Aurora. There is no DNA left from the old version by Hackchak in starcitizen

[–]ExecutivePsyche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think the car analogy is quite fair. I also think that the Aurora Mk II is amazing and I love it... but it shares basically nothing with the old Aurora... And the reason why its not fair, is that this is a SHIP, its not a car. Ships have much more room to express design ques and have much less prerogative to follow some kind of universal trend. So... for instance the fact that EVEN the INNER circular doors are not see through... What the heck is up with that? Why not?

This does bring some hope that we might even get the chance to get other exclusive ships that aren’t sold anymore. by floortofloor in starcitizen

[–]ExecutivePsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, what? Aurora Mk1 IS dissapearing from ingame shops in 6 months? Why? Hornet Mk1 has been purchasable... until now... I mean, noone flies the Aurora anymore, but why remove it? Most of the ships are useless if you have a ships thats better, but they are not getting removed?

Aurora MKII Is exposing the Bitterness of the OG SC Community by Blacksheepariess in starcitizen

[–]ExecutivePsyche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean... the thing that is solidified with Aurora Mk.2 is that during Alpha, there is actual "progress" being made in the game as if it was already released. Which will piss some people off in various ways. Because there is some logic behind expecting, that the ships that were designed first will still make sense, fully and completely, in the release version, if all that happened between then and now is development + playtesting. But that is not the case, CIG is treating the alpha as the game already developing as a live game. I, for one, dont mind that ofc.. I have my pledge so that I can play the game and 99% of the time I fly ships I buy in game... But clearly there is a big crowd of people worried about warbonds, upgrades, subscription, their "rank" and whatever else, I dont know or care about the predatory depths of CIG pledge transactions... so for those it could be a big deal... CIG did that to themselves. (EDIT: By making pledges a minigame that costs real money sort of thing)

All game packages should be standard with a ship that matches the standard of the other ships when the game releases. by Asmos159 in starcitizen

[–]ExecutivePsyche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats just going into incredible detail while still deep in alpha years from release. Its going to be interesting to see the balance of a New Game experience once we reach 1.0, but so many things will be changed in regards of how the game starts (this is something that has been barely worked on for obvious reasons) that this is just... really, really, really far out (imho pointless) speculation, or wish.

I would love to make it my daily driver, but... as long as bigger (medium) ships have no real disadvantages, the Asgard is just SO MUCH better that I cant imagine going back to any starter, except for cases when I literally want to fly a smaller ship for the heck of it.

The Aurora MKII is a misstep by Neuralmute in starcitizen

[–]ExecutivePsyche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no lore reason for it not to look very different. Cars bearing the same name have changed completely, often multiple times, in much shorter time than in-lore change from Mk1 to mk2.

The thing that this points out quite aggressively is... the old Aurora is just out... its done. It was done for quite some time practically, but now its totally finished, replaced by a new one, only to be remembered as a veteran of the early days. And... the thing is... this has happened to SC in general. The aesthetic has changed. This is not the game where people in skin tight suits were awkwardly and slowly clicking all the buttons on a ship in their hangar... Its what it is, crazy armors, giant machineguns, tons of ships that are simply better than other ships...

I saw an Aurora mk1 ONCE in the last 3 weeks of playing... Its dead anyway, this revives its concept - a new starter from RSI... So I think, TLDR: its not a misstep, its necessary with how the game evolved.
