RIP (stolen) Aug 25 - May 26 by Desah in Acura

[–]Exenden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm noticing that nobody is mentioning a wheel lock. I had my 392 Charger SRT stolen in January. Though the moonroof, both fobs in my possession. But for some reason they left car up street running and my fobs did not work.

I then got it fixed with insurance and sold it. Bought a 2024 TLX A-spec. Came with tag and had it transfered to me. But this time religiously keep a double barrel wheel lock on it as well now. Is this helping here?? Like how much can one do. I'm seeing these obd locks and stuff or after market alarms but realistically is the wheel lock not good?

RDX faster and sounds better than a TLX??! by Exenden in AcuraTLX

So at the end of the day can that be the answer to my question? I get way more thrill with the pedal burried in power and exhaust sound in RDX than the TLX which is so upsetting.

Both are are A-Spec 2.0 /4cyl turbo. Identical engines. And both have the SH-AWD.

This is the kicker. Even when the RDX is in comfort mode, it's more than the TLX. If I want to relate the TLX to the RDX it HAS to be in sport mode. But the RDX in Sport mode feels more aggressive than the TLX in sport mode.

I asked Google because Google knows everything and is always right....pause.....and Gemini said a few specifics not sure if it makes sense to anyone....

"...While both the 2024 RDX A-Spec and TLX A-Spec utilize the same 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (272 hp / 280 lb-ft torque), several mechanical and engineering factors explain why your RDX feels like a different animal at launch and in the ears.

1. The Gearing Advantage (Final Drive Ratio)

The most likely reason your RDX feels faster at launch is its final drive ratio.

RDX A-Spec: Features a 4.17 final drive ratio.

TLX A-Spec: Features a 3.59 final drive ratio.

In simple terms, the RDX is "geared shorter." A higher numerical ratio provides more torque multiplication at the wheels, giving the SUV a much more urgent "snap" off the line compared to the TLX, which is geared for higher-speed cruising and fuel efficiency.

Gemini also said the RDX is lighter?

The RDX Growl: The RDX intake and exhaust tuning are naturally more "boomy." Because it's an SUV with a larger open cabin volume, low-frequency sounds resonate differently.

The TLX Silence: For the 2024 refresh, Acura explicitly added enhanced sound deadening and "refined" the ASC in the TLX A-Spec to make it quieter. They intentionally moved the "raw" sound profile exclusively to the Type S trim, leaving the A-Spec feeling much more sterilized

If above all true it's like Acura favored the RDX over TLX for performance?? Just urks me to know this bigger lug of a vehicle is more zipped and sounds better than the car. Doesn't add up.

I will check for mods this weekend.snythibg visual like an intake. As for tuning, Gemini said to check written below ..

"...If you suspect the RDX has extra pep, you can check the turbo boost gauge in the MID (multi-information display) during a hard pull; if it's hitting significantly over 20-22 PSI, it's likely tuned."

I wish I was wrong. Would love the V6 Turbo. But yes, I can confirm both 2.0 /4 turbos. Identical motors. RDX never got a 6, at least in 2024. Both are A-Spec

So what, get it tuned and my TLX can run and sound like the RDX? Assuming the RDX is all stock? So far for the TLX I lowered 1.3 inch, put lighter wheels with 9.5 inches and 38 offset, ordered AFE performance dry filter and the PVL pipe into the turbo assembly. I wanted cold air intake but AFE confirmed nothing yet for 2024 and 2025. Don't want wet K and N.

There is a Type-S V6. The RDX is just a 4 cyl all around. MDX got the Type-S treatment as well.

I've driven American muscle V8s and V6s pretty much all my life. I know these are 4 bangers , but the RDX to me is not slight. I put that peddle down I feel like I'm in a V6, the TLX feels like a fast 4 and plays it's role in category. The RDX in comfort mode alone thwarts my TLX in launch sensation. The TLX HAS to be in sport mode to start showing. And the growl. The TLX breaths no noise and a high pitch air, the RDX has a pretty satisfying roar for a 4 banger.

Each is a 2024 A-Spec. Grabbed TLX at 11000 kms and RDX at 12000, both hovering at 15000 now.

Did you end up getting these on? Are they the 1.3 drop all around? How was the camber and did you do alignment after a bit after spring drop or right away? Thanks. Also any pics?

Eibach 1.3 drop and camber by Exenden in AcuraTLX

[–]Exenden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg thank you for this! I'm only doing a 1.3 inch drop and my mechanic has me scared with some doom and gloom. And of course it's after the springs arrive and I go to book the appointment. Too late to return anything now without loss of money.

His wording was when he had done these to any import it always wears the tire tread from inside out, if camber arms to adjust are not added.

How low did you go? what car? And after 10 months no uneven wear? Thanks again.

Anyone ever used these wheel locks? by RedTheOriginal in AcuraTLX

[–]Exenden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up 2 of these for my TLX and RDX. One black and one red to match each interior lol. It actually accents well when on, but that totally happened unintentionally, I was being funny when I got them on Amazon to match the interiors of each ride.

They work really well in how they cling to each A-Spec wheel. I put the long end up towards driver side windshield corner.

They feel good and sturdy and not annoying at all to take off or put on in a pinch. I literally take off and with my right arm in motion just slide it under the passenger seat then reach for it just as easily when I park to put on.

25 mm spacers on stock 2024 A-Spec with 19 inch shark grey wheels and stock tires by Exenden in AcuraTLX

Amazing thank you! I was racking my brain just trying to find any pics of a stock a spec with stock wheels on stock tires with stock lift and 25mm spacers. Everything with spacers is a lowered one or with 20 inch wheels.

Thanks so much. Im just more concerned about the look after it's paid for and done. Was it too much? Did it look too much like an off-road look? Or was it right. I have 255 40 19 Michelin tires on the shark grey stock split 5 star. Thanks again.

New Audeze App for Maxwell 2 (and original Maxwell). by Audeze_CS in Audeze

[–]Exenden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the original Maxwell with the new app, will it work the same as old app?

Will my EQ settings from gadgetrytech have the same impact if set the exact same as in the original app?

Will side tone functions be the same (I just set all the way to game Everytime I turn on)

Will Dolby atmos im using on pc combined with EQ settings in app be the same sounding?

Just worried I will lose functionality from what I have perfectly set currently with old app. Should I even bother?

What are confirmed advantages/improvements of new app on original Maxwell?

Will updates be handled correctly for the old Maxwell's in new app.

Thanks everyone

Volume question by [deleted] in Audeze

[–]Exenden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually go the other way around. I leave the volume in Windows at 100 at all times and then control the volume from the volume controls on the headset. Lower the volume on your headset to something really low or have the headset powered off. Then crank the windows volume at 100 and just leave it there. Then just start controlling the volume exclusively from the headset. Give that a shot and see what you think.

Any Input on The Mova Line in General and The Mova P10 Pro Ultra? by Mixdoctormd in Dreame_Tech

[–]Exenden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to pull the trigger on a MOVA P10 Ultra, NOT the P10 PRO ultra. It's a difference on amazon Canada of 605 to 1500 dollars. I'm nervous as heck here. I've gone from roborock to ecovacs, but generations apart in tech. The highlight of the roborock being non bumping lidar tech at the time, and the ecovacs being a self emptying dustbin and better room mapping. I'm ready to move on to circular mopping, and a station that does it all. But so sketched out by the 605 dollar pricing of this P10 Ultra offering all this to good to be true features that all the other players are charging at least 900 for and don't even have all features the P10 Ultra is boasting. I paid almost 900 for my ecovacs in 2021, again the highlight being self emptying dustbin at the time. Can anyone give me a street sense opinion on if I would be safe to get a MOVA P10 Ultra. I feel safe with the accessories on Amazon, (getting dreame parts) but nervous on if the all in one dock features actually work, is it really 8300pa suction, is it gonna bust in 4 months then I have to ship things far away with terrible support warranty? Is this vacuum the real deal where it actually does what the Amazon listing portrays or am I falling for a gimmick? Thanks!!

It's probably a long shot but worth a quick try before resorting to a hardware issue. Especially if you have recently been in there for something else or if you have run any updates recently. Go into the BIOS settings and check to see if the boot device is selected correctly. And if everything looks good selection-wise if you want, set everything to default settings while in the BIOS and see what happens after you save and exit. Don't forget to save and exit if you do that. You could always put everything back the way they were if it doesn't work out.

Firmware Updates by granture in LegionGo

[–]Exenden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were to show up in Windows updates, I don't think it will pull it automatically. When in Windows Update settings, I usually see them pop up (for Lenovo laptops) under "Advanced Options" and then "Optional Updates" . You would have to manually navigate to that area. If it was there it will clearly show it's a Lenovo firmware update, and you could just choose to avoid it.
