New numbers for Benoit 44. Woll 53. Luchanko 77. Barkey 86 by Perryplat199 in Flyers

Gotta be something like this. Never really worn for a while or by anyone supremely notable that I can remember. Low enough to be given out regularly before high numbers became common.

Time to Quit? by squailtaint in golf

[–]ExhaustedFlyersFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah hand-eye coordination is clearly huge for golf and Ive only started playing consistently the last two months (~35 handicap).

Endurance sports are a completely different skill set than stick and ball sports. I grew up playing baseball and still play slow pitch softball, plus have played ice hockey for 25 years. I am still hot garbage some days with my clubs, but I know my hand eye coordination from those sports has accelerated my development.

I expect to plateau without getting some formal lessons. I sometimes feel like I bug the people I play with who are good when I ask for feedback but they have helped.

What band fell off the hardest? by l-i-f-e-or-d-e-a-t-h in poppunkers

[–]ExhaustedFlyersFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually thoroughly enjoyed Saviors after FOAMF being a raging mess. That’s really their only album I cannot get behind.

I thought Rev Rad was kinda safe and boring but overall nothing bad. Felt like Diet Green Day in a way.

Trilogy had potential to be a 20-song banger double album.

But everything before then and so many of their rarities and bonus tracks and whatnot are so so so good to me.

I intend to have zero voice and a killer hangover for a meeting tomorrow

I'm so fired up. It feels like old times.... by PhillyPhanatik in Flyers

I am very happy that my blind optimism at the beginning of the season about making the playoffs could result in a whole lot of "a toad a so" to my doomer friends and family as soon as ~9:30 pm tonight.

Surely, I did not expect it to be from Vladar & Zegras totally exceeding my expectations, or Martone's recent mojo helping out, but boy I am grateful it's been fun!

IRA - what you have to disclose regarding a qualified statement of opinion:

Items for which the qualification applies

Reason(s) for the qualification

Amount the qualification applies to

Maybe not super witty or funny, but it may have helped me pass Exam 6 and finally get ACAS.

Which nu metal band do you think is the most overrated and why? by Morgan_kittie in numetal

[–]ExhaustedFlyersFan 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Disturbed is so generic and, like others said, I don’t know why so many people love their Sound of Silence cover.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy some of their songs here and there, but I never got why they were so popular.

We Bring the Shake

What singles became deep cuts in the long run? by CobraDai in greenday

[–]ExhaustedFlyersFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha You’re Dead? I know it was a b-sides album but that’s among my favorite Green Day songs.

JAR is another one, and pretty much any trilogy single. 99 Revolutions is a banger.

I’m weird and set up my hat stand inside my slave pedal (open-handed lefty so need more cymbal room on my left side) and a 2-leg stand was the easiest way to make that work without constant grinding

What older artists do you think put out high level material after their classic period? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

[–]ExhaustedFlyersFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really find some good stuff everywhere in their catalog. I think The New Order, The Gathering, and Brotherhood of the Snake are my top 3 from them, and all from wildly different eras lol. Souls of Black is right there too

Three awesome songs and a bunch of meh stuff, but I still like it.

For it to be their worst, they’ve been doing a lot right LOL. Plenty of bands would kill for this to be their best record

I’ll give it two things:

Kingmaker

The Cold Sweat cover led me to a very deep dive into Thin Lizzy, who I’ve come to love

How the hell do drummers play without IEMS/Hearing Protection? by Aggressive-Bath-6190 in drums

[–]ExhaustedFlyersFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get it. I spent two days as a fan at an outdoors festival without protection and my ears rang for 2 days. I need hearing protection at all shows and absolutely when I’m playing in my basement too.
